Oh my goodness gracious... I just got "schooled" on another forum by a rep from a very famous knife marketing company, for being a smart-alec about their founder being a fat bastard, after they posted a pic of him holding a giant fork.
Ooops. Prolly not gonna be a lucrative CS/THK collaboration happening any time soon.
What forum would this be on? Seems like it'd be a funny thread to read through.

Urrrrr, grumble grumble, first day of being self employed........... got a lot of stuff done, however, got a lot of emails and PMs thinking that I just have a irresistible urge to do a bunch of shit for free or next to nothing. I dont mind doing favors for friends or repeat customers, but you guys wouldn't believe some of the requests I've gotten out of the blue in the last 24hrs. I may have just quit my job. But im not starving yet fellas!

Nights are getting to me too. I've been on nights for 7 years. I'm pretty close to being ready for a change of jobs. It would be nice to live like normal people do again.

Never! 2nd/3rd shift for life. I can't stand the thought of being on 1st shift. I understand shy people do though. I just prefer to keep my schedule opposite of the masses. Less lines when I'm out doing some errands.
Actually it's not so much the nights, it's the crazy couple of weeks I've had and the crazy couple to come. I would not want to work dayshift at my current job and I loathe getting up before 7:00am. There's no reason why anyone should have to get up earlier than that, with a select few exceptions. All that said, it's a lot easier to have a social life when you work the same schedule as other people. I suppose if I lived up in Denver or some other major city it wouldn't be a big deal but I hate major cities. And my job is outside a smallish town.
Yeah, you almost never have to wait in line when you hit the store at 3:00am on a Tuesday.
So a young black bear wandered onto post today. I don't know much about bears but I'd guess it was an adolescent, maybe just old enough to go out on it's own. I was pretty surprised since we're a fair distance away from the mountains.

Pretty neat, depending on price I'd be interested. Maybe one in O1, that'd be slick. A leather pouch sheath would be easy to find to replace the flimsy nylon pouch. I think the overall edge length he mentions isn't much of a benefit over other blades. you can only use so much of the blade at any given time. Maybe he means that it would give you a couple edges to use and delaying having to sharpen the one.

You know you had too much to drink when you call the taxi at 4am to drive you to White Castle to get two crave cases for the 3 of you... We went through 2 bottles of Devil's Cut tonight along with a 6 pack of Smithwicks, a 6 pack of New Castle, and a 12 pack of Blue Moon... I was the least inebriated but yeah still NOT sober.

I have talked to some guys in a few other countries that just honestly didnt understand the value to price.
After posting some pics and a video on another forum for giedymin a guy from Poland offered me 300 for my Comp Cutter. I wanted to say "are you crazy? i saved for half a year for this and these start at 3 times that amount from Dan... But instead i just said its not for sale at any amount. And then i tried talking to him about contacting Crimson, even showed him the video of how well the chopper performs that crimson made. Even told him if Crimson had any problems with international shipping i would help ship it to him....But he just wanted the "name" He wrote back saying in what sounded like a rude way, i didnt ask for that i want the famous one... I got a little upset then and told him its not going to happen and we should part ways now.
But i Talked to Giedymin who explained to me over there most people cant afford a couple hundred dollars on a knife. And for him to make ANY money he has to sell here or barely over his cost. The chopper i got from giedymin should cost over 500 bucks easily. It looks amazing and performs like a champ.... But i got it for 300. There are some amazing knives for sale on that forum for 100-200 bucks. Im talking full on custom knives that here would be selling 3-400 bucks.

Got DRUNK last night.... Then passed out. 6 hours sleep. The most for me so far this year.
But i have to say i still think crown royal taste better than Johnny Walker Black Label. This bottle was free so im damn sure not complaining about it... I just like the way crown taste more honestly.
