Just wanted to say I'm absolutely lovin' my new 15. Stripped, dark patina, sharpened,... this thing's a dream!
I'm still trying to get used to the 11 though. I was amazed that it actually did fit my hand quite well. The 14/24 does feel like a bigger knife in hand, but the 11 allows for a different way of control. Maybe I have more control over the 11 than I have over the 14/24? The jury is still out on that one.
I definitely need to get some micarta for the 11 though. I'm still shopping around on that. Whenever I see a good price on them, the shipping is completely absurd, but when the shipping is OK, the micarta is like 15 bucks more. Pfff. Living overseas does make you think twice before you buy stuff though :)

I had a craving that only hands could satisfy.

How did you guess? In a way I'm earing my taxes back. Pretty sweet...

Really? I guessed because I work for the feds and that's exactly what happened to me when I quit my old job for my current one.

Gathering prep.

Looks good, WW.

I need to get more steel. I've been thinking about another Becker sword--Beckizashi or something of that ilk--basically, an elongated 5, made from CPM 3V.

Thanks bud. Im about done with this design, still playing with the tip a bit but i should have it figured out this weekend as well.

3V Beckizashi would be sweet :D

Really nice day here. I took the pup to a state park earlier and we ran all down the side of the river. He wore me out. He loves playing in the water and loves to run and jump. He wont go in the river, and wouldnt go in the lake when i took him to the cabin... But any little streams or large puddles where the river overflowed on the sides he just loves. He would jump right off the rocks to get into those puddles.

Looks good WW. Beat the hell out of it. Thats what I make em for.

I like.

Always look forward to seeing you stuff Crimson!

Thanks Todd.

And I love the knife. The handle fits my hand like a glove!!! I like how its rounded instead of flat. It was the only knife i took with me today and while i was more going to play with the dog than the knife, i did split a couple pieces of smaller wood just to try it out and I cut some walking sticks for the kids with it and such and its works great. It will be getting plenty of use thats for sure.

Home ownership is like having a toddler made of brick, wood, and siding. Every time I turn around it needs something else.

Today has been great so far. Went Kayaking in some of the channels and through some of the Mangrove tunnels around the islands down here in SW FL. We barely made it back before a storm barrelled through. That was a hell of a time. It is usually a guided tour, but my wife and myself were the only two that signed up this afternoon. We were out a bit longer than scheduled since we were just paddling away having a good time with the guide. We had just made it back to the main bay and were about to take a different loop despite the noticeable change in pressure and wind when some decent thunder reminded us that the storm was headed through whether we were back on land or not.
