Because this is totally worth seeing twice. Damn, Todd, that is just gorgeous.

Thanks Daizee. Hope it works out. But if it don't and I starve to death......well, I could stand to lose a few lbs anyway,:o

In the meantime, heres a sneak peak at the brassback, not done yet, but close. Now I got to go back and get the file marks out of the file work. :thumbdn:

Wow Todd! Your work looks incredible to begin with, then you come out with something like this! That sir, brings up the universal standards of custom knife work. Paired with that gorgeous sheath you have definitely created an epic piece right there.

Holy Christmas Todd! !!! That is the perfect combination of heart stopping bad assed and absolutely beautiful! Congrats on creating such an awesome piece!

And on quitting the job you were hating to try something better. Takes guts to do it.

Dammit Todd! Seems like while we were busy sobering up after Triggs' birthday celebrations, you were busy finishing off this incredible piece of work. This is a stunning knife.

AAHH!! Dude legs! So white, so pale... :D

KaBar sells more knives in New England that anywhere else, including the world. this might be a true fact!

but they never come to shows here. it's like they hate us :D

There was a small presence yesterday at the show. Nothing like blade. The women running the booth were very nice though.

Outstanding work, Todd. Just gorgeous.

This, anyone know ??

Oxidation has already taken place in the heat treat process. As far as the scale helping to prevent Rust? Yes...No... depends on a lot of variables. Type of steel being one.

Thats a badass sheath as well. Whats the arrow head made out of?

Its made of the same materials in the handle.......elk, copper, brass, black paper liner. I wanted to take up the massive real estate of the snake skin with something that brought all of the colors of the overall project together........that was the thought anyway.

Thanks Todd, i actually have not decided on the steel yet for the project thats currently just in my mind/paper LMAO. I have done quite a bit with 52100 now so id like to try a different steel this time. But i like the look of the scale on the Dashi i got from Daizee, now thats 154CM so oxidation is less of a worry, but i was thinking if the scale also prevents it, i may could have the scale left on.

Its going to be a little knife, or a big neck knife depending on how its viewed but it will be skeleton handle. The idea is having 2 made. One for me and one for my wife. And after we seen a knife with a mosaic pin right in the steel my wife commented on loving how it looked, so she doesnt even know im thinking this up right now, but if its possible i think it would be neat to have a purple or blue pin in the wifes handle and a green or blk/gold pin in the handle of mine... Like a his and hers.

This could still change a lot but here is kind of what im thinking. The cutout in the handle, size and everything is not set in stone yet... Some form of this shape though.
