Cutting hay strings , when you just slice across the strings hitting hay and strings.

Goodeye. Yup. Make an incision the put two fingers in the hole, pull outwards, insert the knife between your fingers blade facing up and slice.


since I didn't answer the question correctly the first time, my edc is dulled fast by other people using it. So my answer is knives get dull fast by dumbasses

Trying to cut through a spinning grinder wheel will really do it.

When I was about 12 I had to skin a couple sheep after a sandstorm ...
fleece full of sand will blunt a blade kinda fast
but it lead to me making my own blades I went thru a lot of blade materials before coming across allhard highspeed steel hacksaw blades and turned them into kinda tough knives ... I was so proud , here now I can whittle threads off ( mild steel ) bolts , baton thru car panels , slice open bean cans ... no issue
then my Mrs took one and trimmed the lawn edges ..... our ground is like river gravel ..
she thought it was great cos it took so long to blunt tho ......
otoh I found out that hhs isnt hard to resharpen tho

Elec. Horse Fence. The braided, nylon, 3/8 rope, kind. Braided with strands of metal wire to carry the charge. Dulls a knife right quick.

I try and carry a utility razor knife around the barn. Hate wrecking a good knife.
