this blade was sent, gaston sent a claim with paypal, got his money back and kept the knife, I would like to request the blade or the money.... fair is fair, although very busy I was late getting the blade to him and that I apologized about, but holding both the payment and the blade is not honorable. Please, Sir, lets get this straightened out.

I see that you have finally made the effort to communicate. Not that I ever got a response, but well prior to you deciding to finally ship the knife (and after I filed a case with paypal) I told you I did not want the knife and asked you to just refund my money. Would be happy to send it back to you. I have not used it and it is still sitting in the same spot where I put it when it mysteriously arrived. Mr. Prentice. Not only are you not truthful, apparently fail to get how you jerked around myself and several others waiting for a completed knife you sold and took money for, failed to communicate - repeatedly, all three of us had to file claims with PP, but you now try and cut an paste partial statements to somehow justfiy your irresponsible actions - or lack of integrity or honor as you put it. Your reputation on this forum procedes you. This is not the first time you have had "issues". You apparently can't read (or understand) what I wrote - the very thing you copied and pasted. Where do you see where I am refusing to send it back - despite all the crap you put me and others through? What a sad state of affairs your life and business realtions with any possible customers has come to. I'll guess that most of the problems in your sad life are due to your amniesia,laziness, lack of communication, failure to follow thru on your world, constant lies and excuses, or blaming others for problems you cause constantly. You owe me an apology not harrasment.
 
My message is simple, money or knife sent to me, don't care which. before paypal awarded you the money I sent them the delivery confirmation number from usps. so send it back to me or I will stop bye your house on my way back to Fort Bragg and get it myself. so, lets keep this professional and not personal.
 
paypal said that you cannot have the money and the merchandise, and they are sending you an email, and it is your responsibility to send it back or the money.... so chat with them now..............

Here are the facts again: You posted several completed knives on the forum. Myself and several other members (much to our chagrin) sent you money immediately for the knives. Almost a month later, no knife, no response, nothing. We all file claims with PP. You conviently reappear with a bunch of excuses, etc. At that time I told you I did not want the knife - just my money back.(twice in fact) And then you dissapear again. No communication from you continues. Somewhere down the road the knife mysteriously arrives. I again tell you I do not want it and ask you to reimburse me to ship it back. No response - figures. Months go by nothing from you. Then all of a sudden a couple days ago you reappear to and start sending me ignorant emails. I tell you I would be happy to send the knife back - but need your address AND I expect you to pay for the shipping.
I told you I would be happy to send it back then. You then proceed to threaten me, call me names, and use profanity. Now you are embarassing yourself further by continuing to post lies and delusions.
Let me make it clear to you and everyone else - I should not be out money due to your poor personal habits and lack of business acumen. You have jerked around myself and others on this forum too many times. You've claimed your computer crashed so many times one would think it was competing in NASCAR.

Simple - send me the money to pay for shipping back and I will be happy to send it back. You sir, have put me out enough, I will not be out more.

For some reason, you just refuse to accept your own behavior and/or be responsible. Are you that delusional? All this because you don't want to pay $10 for return shipping - even though you know you created this mess?

prentice should pay for return shipping.

although, couldn't you have just refused the item? it would have been returned to the sender.

You bought and paid for this knife 4 November 2010. It was a completed/finished knife advertised for sale on the makes exchange. Is that correct?

When did you file a PayPal claim & get your money back?

When did the knife finally arrive?

I hope you don't mind me asking, I am just curious about the time line.

It sounds as though you were more than patient waiting on a knife that was completed/finished when you bought it. IMO anyway..... ;)

gaston to send the blade cod for only shipping and i want no other contact or whatsoever from him...... period..............

Now, guys...... is this appropriate to everyone's liking.
 
my recent dealings have been good, just sent an anvil within a week..... to a person.... I also told two customers one month to make their hammers... I dont stay on the puter that much.... So, if someone does not want anything from me then so be it., I like everyone has a life outside knives, children, medical problems, disabilities.... and so on..... not Excuses, but I was honest.... Thanks everyone for their comments whether I agreed or not, but I decided to offer the COD for shipping.

I thought if he didnt want the package in the first place.... Just a
"return to shipper" could have been done in the first place, guess a lot of miscommunication and inappropriateness on both parts. so lets choke it up and Send the blade COD back to me....

well, i'm not of the opinion that you are dishonest or untrustworthy.

i believe this was a poorly handled transaction. lots of "could've and should've". it also wasn't reasonable to expect him to send the knife back out of pocket.

ultimately, your responses and attitudes will determine future business and your stability within the market. i don't believe in "the customer is always right", but in this case it certainly appears he is.

getting publicly frustrated and openly writing off a buyer who was simply frustrated himself will not win you any future buyers.

Gathering only the information within this thread I tend to lean towards
Gaston as being in the right on this one. Im sure theres a lot more to it
but I hope this can be resolved with out any more negativity.

How is this accptable to us? You know it was reported and pointed out. Did you notice a moderator took action also?

I will answer a question that was asked by a fellow forum member. No - I could not have refused the package: 1. I work 2. If I told my wife details about all my pkgs - I would be divorced - LOL 3. It came in the mail - no signature - so the answer is No that was not possible.

One additional thought - if I was dishonest - I surely would not have communicated to Mr. Prentice that I did finally get the knife -now would I.

Mr. Prentice has once again given people an idea of what to expect with dealing with him. He is his own worst enemy. It is kind of sad, because I feel if he would get his life together he could make nice knives.

MODs and/or Mr. Prentice in order to be done with my dealings with this unstable individual, I offer to just ship it back to him (at my expense) if the multiple negative Feedback he has left for me is removed and he promises to leave me alone and stop sending threatening PM's such as this:

"That is fine. hold onto the knife for me and I will pick it up in PERSON at YOUR ADDRESS next time I am traveling from TN to Fort Bragg. I will then show you an apology. There was no promise as to how long you will receive the knife but you did get it"


Mr. Prentice - you are welcome to send me a check for the shipping charges once you get the knife - if you want to do the right thing.

Oh, and one thing to add - sending something back COD is not a good option in this case - heck, it would cost more for the cod fee than the amount of the shipping. UPS does not do that for free you know. I'd be out even more money.
