Gaston, thanks for the one comment about that i can turn out nice knives, as for the so called threatening PM... that was not a threat, just a simple I will pick it up. If i was planning to be violent in any nature I sure would not say I was going to stop bye, I would just do it.

My own worse enemy.... yeah, when I go to sleep, the things I experienced and done in the army in the last 10 years.... so you are right about that and any veteran with similiar nightmares can understand that.

So If you took it as a threat, I apologize to you, never was meant to be one. As for the blade, once I get it I will send you the 10 dollars if you so desire it. Lets remove all the negative comments from both of us and let things go as they are.

I do know respect honor integrity and was very offended by what you said about my character, know me better before judging me and not just know of me and judge. Yes, this transaction went to hades and I am sorry that we ever had any dealings. I promise we will not have any dealing again from my part.
 
things like this on this forum should be about resolution and not about drama of "stirring the pot". For those who wants drama watch a soap opera.... LOL..... so lets all laugh about this now and get over it.

in regards to the original transaction. I did request this on tech support; would hope Mr. Prentice does as well.
 
I requested as you did to have the remarks left by both parties stricken from our record. Sending you $10 is well worth the ransom of getting the blade back. It is a shame this all had to resort to this..... Good luck to you and yours
 
I have one of his knives. It took months to get it after sending emails and

making phone calls. I finally figured I would find his boss and see if he knew

what this guy was doing. Suddenly the knife arrived. The blade was 1" shorter

than I wanted and the stag had been polished which I had requested not to do.

The sheath was just a flimsy piece of leather. Again, after much effort he sent

me a decent sheath. It's such a shame. He makes a nice knife but it's just not

worth the effort and anger trying to get it. And then you don't get it the way

you ordered it. The knife in the pic is not the one he made.
 
I will answer a question that was asked by a fellow forum member. No - I could not have refused the package: 1. I work 2. If I told my wife details about all my pkgs - I would be divorced - LOL 3. It came in the mail - no signature - so the answer is No that was not possible.

You could have marked it "return to sender" and sent it back...unopened.

Oh, and one thing to add - sending something back COD is not a good option in this case - heck, it would cost more for the cod fee than the amount of the shipping. UPS does not do that for free you know. I'd be out even more money.

So don't send it UPS. Send it USPS or a way that DOES accept COD.

Not sure why you decided to post something like that at this point, but you are apparently not very familiar with shipping things or how fees for services like COD work. I have been in transportation for 20+ years, so I think I have a handle on it. Aside from that there still needs to be communication between parties and that was lacking. No offense, but if you are going to comment on a thread please make sure you understand the facts of what you are commenting on.

For others - I did send the knife back to Mr. Prentice - we'll see if I ever get a check for the return shipping.
