This grab bag thing is exiting!

I finally have a Busse fund, so this will be my first Busse order too! Went for 1 of each.

Now I keep thinking I should switch the $250 for another $500, or even add another $500. I should probably stop looking, just stick with my order as is, and keep some cash in the reserve for upcoming offerings.

Just got the word from pokey that these boxes will not be queued in line with other blades. They could be shipping rather soon but all of it including who gets which box is up in the air... I hope these come soon. I'm interested to keep what I want and sell all that I don't...
Well, I hope it's not too soon. I have more stuff ordered than I have money in the bank. Haha!

I wonder if the grab bags will be filled with blades that have been available up to this point or if anything that comes up between now and actual ship dates will be fair game too.

So I have been thinking about this grab box more. The only reason I passed on it is because I bought a Fudge and a Grudge. I am waffling though as to whether or not to grab a $500 box before they get pulled.

That said, I think the Grab Box is the beginning of the end for O2W.. as the dust settles and all of the outstanding orders are filled there are going to be a lot of blanks unclaimed, canceled orders etc, etc.. IMO this is marketing genius to clean up the rubble from an amazing sales campaign. I suspect these boxes will be shipping not only throughout the rest of the releases but for some time after.

I was wondering that myself.

So if the large bags are going to be worth at least $800, is that from the shop or on the secondhand market do you guys think?

Busse does not control the second hand market, so the $800 price will be as if buying directly from Busse. That could be worth more or less on the secondary market depending on the blades you get. With what appears to be a very large amount of grab bags sold, I would not count on making much profit on it if that is your motivation, it could certainly happen though.

^Shop... where there is no concern about secondhand market since they are the firsthand market. ;)

I like this idea. Might be O2W scores, might be old blanks laying around, might be Knob Creek one offs, might be multiples, might be something really awesome that has not even come out yet... too much fun! :D

I'm wondering if blades in the grab bags are already made and just extras from past sales, if so they might have a pretty quick turnaround. I'm cool with whatever though

Furthest thing from my mind, just looking at ways to possibly narrow down what some of the offerings might be =D
Thank you guys, I was hoping shop personally, just wasn't sure if this sort of thing has been done before and I'm too green to realize it.

Ok all this grab bag talk is making me think I need to go and order a second bag :-) :-)

I'm hoping a BAe2 will end up in my bag since I failed to order the first time around. Fingers crossed! Of course any infi will be a welcome addition

I really need to stop watching this thread. Just emailed Lexi to see if I could change my $250 to a $500 (for 2 - $500 total). Must leave before I add another.

I'd be afraid of getting a battle saw, and the double talon battle mistress that I cancelled...but I'm still tormented by those bags, and the thought of missing out on the chance.
After all, what if THE knife I want - but cannot purchase - is in the bag?

Great thing about having lots of grab bag blades in our hands is there may be some good opportunities to do some horse trading for something you really like but someone else doesn't. Like kids with baseball cards. Haha!
