This is a Cigar Thread

He hands me a Montecristo #2 Habana Torpedo.

All I can say is wow! I smoked it and loved it.

Best damn baby shower I ever went to.:D

Jeff

One of my favorites too. You have good taste if you like those. I like the #1 myself, but they're the same blend.

Thanks. Problem is once I smoked it, all others pale in comparison. Need to take a cruise to the Carib or get invited to his house again.:)

Jeff;)

does anyone here like acid cigars, by drew estate? are these considered cheap cigars? am i a total, no-class, dirtbag for liking them?

I tried one and did not care for it. :jerkit:

But, it may have been the one I tried. I will try another Acid and see how that gos. BTW it seems several people on the net do like them a lot.

Hi all, just saw this thread pop up. Not an avid smoker, but I love my cigars :).

I like sweet stuff, so usually smoke ACIDs, Oliveros, and a couple of here and theres. Drew Estate is one of the best for infused cigars imho.

As for regular cigars, I had a Rocky Patel Vintage aged 10 years, hmm that was smooth, and mild. Highly recommended.

well i'll confess.

i have been pretty much smoking acids exclusively.

i have 2 boxes of "earthiness" in my humidor, as well as a box of "tea infusion."

i've tried:

blondie
kuba kuba
acid one
1400cc
wafe
nasty
liquid
roam
ambrosia

ambrosias were highly aromatic. the smoke was sweet and smooth scented and made my room not smell horrible the way most cigars do. as a smoking cigar, it wasn't that great.

acid "roams" were pretty great too. very smooth, no bite, very calming of a smoke.

of all the ones i've smoked, earthiness, cold infusion tea, kuba kuba, and roam were my favorites. i'm excited to try some more in the near future.

Yeah, unfortunately for you (and I) they're a unique taste too, so there's no cheaper cigar that tastes like one. There are many good cigars and many good mild cigars, but you could blindfold me and have me taste 20 cigars and I could pick out the Montecristo regular line.

If you're committed to getting more, go to cigarbid.com and get an account and bid on some.

i have a question.

today the A/C went poop in my apt. my room heated up pretty quick in the texas heat.

is it safe to put my humidor in the refridgerator or something to keep it from getting too warm? if not, what should i do? the idea of beetles hatching scares me.

??

CAO "vision" cigars...

blech.

not at all worth the money i paid. pretty box, however.

Ok all you experts, I need some advice. I'm almost out of the cigars I picked up in the Dominican. I was looking at CI, and found an Indian Tabac 24 cigar sampler with a humidor for $50. So,are these cigars nasty and cheap? Or are the worth the 50 bones? Thanks for your help. Also feel free to suggest other decently prices smokes.

Wondering if anybody can answer my question ? Thanks .....

It's not a question of whether or not anybody can answer it (though I cannot). It's more that discussing ways to get around and possibly violate US customs laws an a public forum is generally not a good idea. More importantly, it's against Spark's rules.

:o

I hate Indian Tabac cigars. My best buddy hates them too. So that's 100% hate from cigar people I know personally.;)

If you're shooting blind, I'd recommend anything by Rocky Patel. Of all the brands, I haven't tried a Rocky Patel I didn't like, and it's RARE that I find a brand where I like everything they make. (I've tried about 80% of the RP line.)

Thanks fulloflead. Thats the kind of stuff I like to hear. Now I wont waste my hard earned money. And be hard earned, I mean sittin on the couch. I broke my ankle a week ago, so I'm getting paid to sit on the couch, surf the web, and maybe smoke a few cigars.

How about the Gurkah line? For about $100 I could get 35 assorted varieties, and a humidor. what do ya think?

I like a lot of the Ghurkahas - some of my favorites are Ghurkahas. I like the Symphony and the Grand Master Dos Capas a lot. My only complaint about the Ghurkah line is that they can be expensive - they call it a "boutique" brand. I'm not sure what that means but it, aparantly means they can charge a lot for their cigars. That said, if you feel like you're getting a good price on a sampler pack and a humidor, go for it. I usually don't like to pay more than about $5.00 per cigar ($6.00 if it's something good like an Ashton or Montecristo.) Those humidors, by the way, are only worth about $20 so figure that in your calculations.

I just got done with a Romeo y Julieta "Veijo". It was a very nice light maduro (if such a thing is possible). I paired it with some 10yr old Springbank, which complemented it quite well. I highly recommend it.

What's your guys idea of a medium bodied cigar who wants something more than a mild conneticut shade?
Light maduros are possible, they're just fermented..think ashton as the benchmark mild maduro
