This is MY knife

Here's the knife my dad carried for 50 years. He gave it to me a little while ago, so I bought him a newer one of the same brand and pattern that he carries now. (Western folding hunter).

Carried this pretty much daily from early in '96 and semi-retired it sometime in '08. Other than that, a Victorinox of some sort on my keychain for as long as I can remember (Classics at first, then Ramblers).

The past few years I've gone back to carrying some of my old (and not so old) slipjoints.

Nowadays it's this. (VERY old pic. Lot's more wear now)

But this one has seen more use.

Been carrying a Victorinox Swiss Champ for nearly 30 years. Lost #1 and then temporarily lost #2,
so have it and #3 and #4 waiting as replacements. I don't imagine ever not carrying one.

Very cool thread Sam.

Spot saved for my pic. My EDC for the last little bit has been my XM-18 Flipper, and my M390 Millie.

the only thing constant in my edc rotation is the spyderco ladybug and she's got no choice, being key chained and all.

This has been around the the US and Canada with me since the early '80s. I guess it fits in here.:D

I carried my Large Regular Sebbie for over 5 years and while she is retired now, I do take her out for EDC on occasion. She will be heading in for a long overdue spa treatment soon...

I do believe that my 0560 will surpass the Sebbie in EDC carry time. :D

My wife bought this for me not long after we were married. Pre-Production Benchmade 705. I've never liked serrations, but I didn't have the heart to take it back.
The blade coating held up really well, for the amount of hell the knife went through.

Not my image..........I know I know sign up for a photo hosting site already. :D

Nearly 5 decades ago, I was given a new knife to carry like the one pictured here. Carried daily and worn now, retired in the land of safe queens. :)

BTW Do you know the hardships and difficulties of owning a knife of your own for a half a century and only being 18 years of age? :D:D:D

Nickels, I know you're not 18. Don't think you're fooling anyone just by acting like you are.:D

Carried this Old 1st Gen Recon 1 from around 1996-2009 and it still stays close by.

LOL :D

Hey, it was only a week ago a young lady at the check out questioned a coworker next to her, if she should card me or not. :D And yes, they were LOLing at the time. :D:D:D

I was just thinking "wow, this must be the most well-behaved thread that's ever been posted in General."

And then you had to come along.:D:p

By the way, Jim, I like that knife a lot. Can easily see how it became your buddy.

The top one is pretty much always in it's sheath on my belt. I still have my first Swiss knife from back when I was 14 or so. the scales have fallen off of it, the toothpick and tweezers are long lost, and the blades have been worn down big time.
