This is MY knife

 Don't ya just love it when a maker carries one of his own.

I just do not see that very often these days (or as much as I used to.)

I carry this flipper most of the time, along with a small fixed blade every now & then.

Showoff.... grumble grumble....NO not at all, just kidding. Seeing a custom with Stag like that as a user is a beautiful thing. The only thing prettier than a fine custom, is a well loved, well used fine custom.

There is something personal and rewarding about carrying a knife for years at a time, with you and you alone putting your mark on it.

Sure a new and shiny Star Destroyer might land in your collection or EDC's, but what really stands out and is Cooler then the rest, is that carbon scored Millennium Falcon which you have soloed through the battles of everyday life.

As with that pair of well worn work boots, blue jeans, pick up truck, etc. or a worn and traveled knife, it just feels like home. :)

Very well said.

My oldest knives are SAKs, which have served me well over the years. I've added quite a few traditionals recently, and wish I'd had them with me longer already. I miss the history we could have had together, and the pocket wear of real-life usage.

Yup, that whole post is pure poetry. Someone *sniff* pass me a tissue, please :p

I put off posting this one too long. I had lost it when my sons mother and I split. One day years later she asked me to check her car for something or other when I showed up to pick up my son, and I saw it in the center console. I silently pocketed the lost tool.

The reclamation and repatriation of my old friend. I have had it since I was about 14 it's an older SAK Huntsman Boy Scout knife. My first knife :D

EDIT: It has actually held up well to all of my abuse over the years. It has been everywhere. Internationally, up and down both coasts and across the country, in and around national parks, and numerous camping trips, plus a few canoe trips along the Chesapeake.
