This just in ~ from España • The Navajas of ArtesaniaHerreros

Congrats Jack Black Jack Black . That's a looker for sure! I bet you're pleased.
Pretty neat to see the different patterns we've all picked.

I have to ask, as I ask most who've received a new navaja here, is this the most unique knife in your collection, Jack?

@ArtesaniaHerreros did a nice job, as usual.

I concur on the bonds found and made here. Very nice.
A toast to the navaja ambassadors!
Ole' !!

Thank you, I am thrilled, and have the Vendetta on my belt today. Jose's work is fantastic, and this is certainly a very special knife. Normally, when I buy a knife I buy it for practicality, in this case it was because I wanted an example of Jose's work, and bought it as one might purchase a piece of fine art :) I am already looking to purchase a slipjoint from Jose :)

I don't trully know how or who to begin with :p,

On the first place, thanks a lot Vicent, Dwight Rick, Ray, Don, Gary, and specially Jack for trusting me, my skills and my work, but more than that, for supporting me and sharing me this much love, I have the pleasure of saying that I made real true friends here, sometimes it bugs me since I don't have the time (or the skills) to reply to every thread in time, so if anytime I skip one of your post is just because I am a true and proud e-donkey hahaha.

Thank you so much Jose, you are a true gentleman, and a delight to deal with. I am sure we are all very grateful for the time you spend here, as well as for the time you spend at your bench, producing these masterpieces :)

No Ray, your navaja is not closer to the work bench, it is on the bench :D but I will need a few more time to finish it but working is in progress.

And I will be grateful with you forever Ray, you know without you I won't be here, thanks to your early post I knew all of you and more than that, we are friends, who could expect that we would be a group of "navajas ambassadors" and "e-donkeys"? Thanks for sharing my work, for constantly supporting me and sharing your enthusiasm with all of us, specially with me.

Forever is a long time but I will do my best to keep up with you. :D

The pleasure is mine too! You make it so easy José.

That's great.
You must have a few really unique pieces, especially being in Europe. I'm sure the new Vendetta is one of those special pieces. My slipjoint (piston navaja) is easily my most unique piece. I'm thankful BF lead me to it. As an American, it can be a bit isolating in the knife world where Case, Buck and GEC dominate and produce similar patterns that are only 100 or so years old.

It's been fascinating to learn of traditional Spanish folders. Jose's historical accounts are very interesting to this knife-nut, too :)
My eyes have widened, my mind has expanded.

Enjoy the Vendetta; the horn is beautiful

I've been lucky to accumulate a number of very special knives, but only a few Vendettas, and this is certainly the finest. I am hoping to obtain a slipjoint, though I am also attracted to Jose's traditional Spanish patterns. Jose has a great website :)

Thank you :)

You confoosed my friend - José:EUROPE, Jack:ENGLAND. Right side of the Atlantic -wrong side of the Channel.

I just learned a new word. Thanks, "onager Dwight!"
:D

Yeah - had to look that one up ;) You really have traced your family tree that far back Dwight? o_O

I gave up on 2nd generation French Canadian (living in Maine). Quite a few donkeys falling from that tree too, though we try to shove'm back into the branches before anyone notices. :)
