This must be where the DEKs hang out, eh?

Uf1 is all yours. I think an aeb-l DEK1 would be sweet though!

I don't actually use any of my CPKs in the kitchen. I've got some kitchen knives made by @Stuart Davenport Knives that are absolutely outstanding. I've sworn of using anything else, but I'd make an exception for the CPK potato knife.

My CPKs are strictly for utility during home projects, camping, hunting, fishing, and self defense.

You should try them in the kitchen. At least once. For science.

I use all of my knives at least once in the kitchen. It's one of the easiest and most approachable tasks to establish a benchmark for how well a knife performs in fine motor applications. When I get a new knife, it gets used in prepping the very next meal (if said meal requires it of course). My first CPK was a HDFK and one of the first things it cut was a tomato. I couldn't believe how nice of a slicer it is.

All that said, I do understand the merits of having a purpose built kitchen knife set - right tools for the job and all.

I actually tried the dek1 in the kitchen and I was impressed with how it did. My sig sdfk did better than I expected cutting summer sausage on a few camping trips.

Stewart runs his aeb-l hard and thin; those damn knives cut like a laser beam. So I haven't been able to bring myself to stray since I got them. I have a 8 inch chef's knife and a petty knife that he made. They completely spoiled me and my wife.

My Swamp Rat Ratmandu did NOT like being used to cut tomatoes, but it was all I had with me on a camping trip 3 years ago.

I downsized myself as I had 3 DEK 1’s a while back

Sold 2 of my DEK 1’s (one of which was my 1st CPK) (one to help someone out with their first CPK in D3V) and another sold openly in AEBL. I regret selling both now, such as life lol.

I do need to pick up another DEK 1 at some point. I’m probably good with just 1 DEK 2. Would be cool to have a DEK 2 with a swedge or a super nice HG satin one, but is lower on my list of CPK wants Currently.
Brother, I’m so glad you sold me mine. I love it. I’m sorry you regret selling but know it’s in a happy home.

Of off all my knives, I kept pulling this one out to fondle the most over the past few months. I don't know if it's because of the beauty of the hollow grinds or that I had to beat off a pack of hungry CoCKs to get it.

Those are some of my favorite ECAM scales I’ve seen. I really like the lighter color. Awesome pairing with that hollow ground DEK!

Yeah great streakiness!
Amazing DEK collection!!

Are those natural canvas micarta scales on the one 3rd from the left? They look a little different than all the others scales I have seen on the forums here.
Yes I believe so...definitely more "layered" than some other sets of natural micarta I've had.

JORTS! 😀
