So my dad shows up at my house every now and then bringing unexpected, random gifts that he has acquired from the many antique/estate auctions he is always at. He has given me power tools, hand tools, knives, axes and anything he thinks I could use camping/bushcrafting. (he's a cool old dude). Today he brought me a sharpener that is, coincidentally, alot like the one Trade showed a picture of. Its an old Norton Crystolon sharpener. It does a fantastic job. He also brought me a brand new flashlight he found in the Lowes clearance bin. Its a Kobalt and has 2 settings; 90 lumens for 2.3 hours or 15 lumens for 20 hours. It has a Lifetime No Hassle Guarantee. He has the same light in his car and he paid full retail price for it. Apparently they discontinued this model and this was the last one. It is a tailcap operation with a 2-way pocket clip just like the MicroStream (which will be my next light). Its really bright and feels solid-came with a sheath too. The only downside is it takes the CR123 batteries. Overall a great buy (especially considering it was free to me and very inexpensive for my dad)-No matter how many times I edited the photos in photobucket-they still come out sideways--

The Axe hath arrived. I did a little light chopping before work, will do lots more soon. She's very light and nimble.

Yeaaah I do infact need one of those..lol I was on the fence and in the axe forums asking about it, but that tears it. I need one.
 
It's 26 degrees outside and I locked myself out of the house...until I broke in using my ESEE survival card! How ironic!!!
 
Been trying to find a short KA-Bar to match the one I have, found one!! handle is not as dark as the one I have but it will do.
