Uploading a video to Youtube. It isn't something MOST people here are going to be interested in. It is a video of me interpreting in Chicago on Saturday. I had to interpret Bill Cosby's "Dad is great" skit and I got to have fun with it.

Id rather watch her sign

Until about a minute in I couldn't tell if she was wearing a shirt or not! I would rather watch her sign too!

Holy crap, you guys snark so fast it took me days to catch up!

life has been real busy lately, and internet connections spotty at best. Hopefully it has all smoothed out now.

anyways. got a few projects in the works :: wrings hands menacingly ::

Like any of you even noticed she had hands. Reminds me of a very horrible youtube knife reviewer that seems to have gotten herself quite a few more subscribers than someone with her talent (or lack thereof) would have gotten if they were some hairy dude. :D

This is what I do for work... This was actually at a conference, I'm interpreting in front of about 150 other interpreters.

WHAT A RIPOFF!!! The most I would have paid is $15.

:D
Just to clarify, I'm not in Alaska (unfortunately). That is a quote from a new show called "Wild West Alaska" it is kind of a silly show, but that quote made me chortle. On a completely unrelated note... I cut the webbing between my middle and indexing fingers doing dishes today. I need to be more careful around dishes with chipped edges.

Ouch! Coulda been worse--now your just gonna swim a little slower---Its only a flesh wound-tis but a scratch:D

I was informed via facebook that you guys were wondering what happened to me (I assume it's because the grammar in this place went to hell in a handbasket; JK).

I know I said I would be back to a regular posting schedule for me (random and long winded short replies, with some failed wit and awkward snark), but I regret to say that I lied. Unintentionally, but I still lied. At the time of my last post I had basically given up hope for completing my Eagle rank, due to the availability of a reasonable project (FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NO MORE BENCHES!!!!!!!!), and the 70 miles I would need to hike (I look like a big, fat, retarded cat in the water, and I'm about as good on a bike) to complete it.

But as of recently I was given a second wind with just 30 days to the day of my 18th Birthday (final deadline for any and all Eagle Scout rank requirements), so with just a sliver of a chance, I'm gonna give it my all, and with any luck, I'll get my remaining 60 miles, my project, and my very over due paperwork done by the second weekend in February (just enough time to get it in to the machine).

If I do make it, any and all 'Heads are invited to my Eagle Ceremony (The cake sure as hell won't be a lie!), just don't expect alcohol (BSA says no... And I don't wanna be left out).

So I'll see y'all again either in a couple weeks, or after I get a few different boots surgically removed from my ass.

Congrats on making it this far and good luck going all the way. That is an amazing accomplishment. I heard somewhere that every astronaut that went into space was an Eagle Scout. I think it would be something you would look back on with a grand sense of accomplishment. I know I wish I would have stuck it out with the scouts and went all the way (I didnt make it past Cub Scouts-:D)

Good luck oXide! Hopefully the next time we see you around here you will be showing off your Eagle Scout ranking.

Good luck Oxide, that last 30 days can really motivate a person to complete their Eagle. Post pics of the project when you get it done. Not sure what options you have explored but I know Lowe's has a budget for Eagle Scout Projects so make sure to hit them up.

Going to treat myself on a BK16 to celebrate the end of my exams next week Monday, and the acquisition of a BH number/membership. Can't wait for it to arrive!
