This SNARK has teeth! *(...and chronic halitosis.)

Oxide,
My dad got his Arrow of Light, and joined the Eagle scouts as a young man.
I never got that far in the BSA. Wish I had though. Go for it man and Good job so far.

MLK weekend is officially over. Booo! 2 classes today; Microeconomic Analysis followed by Monetary Policy & Theory.

Just spent some time in the snowy backyard. Seems like rabbits found their way through the snow and through the frozen ground to some left over carrots that were still in the ground. They ate as much as they could. Quite amazing that they still manage to find it under the snow and frozen dirt. Kudos to them, they've earned it.

The filter of our little pool/pond was filled with water. The weather forecast talked about temperatures reaching -15°C at night the next days, so my dad and I decided to drain the filter so we wouldn't risk cracking it by ice forming on the inside. The drainage holes were already frozen shut, however. The Eskabar made short work of that. A couple of flatter spots on the cutting edge now, but it still cuts. Proves how versatile this tool really is. A couple of strokes on 800 or 1000 grit sandpaper and that will be solved

So, my job for today got cancelled... I was scheduled from 0800-1700. Because it was cancelled less than 24 hour notice, I still get paid!

Pretty cool C-bear, that means you could get paid for doing Moosez cold weather challenge. I'm going out Sat/Sun for my entry. High of 27°, low of 16°. If it don't rain it should be a good time.

I still have my plans for tonight though. Stuff I can't reschedule...So THAT means I can't do Moose'z challenge.

I honestly don't know if I can either. I am not the skilled at camping, and I would much rather not end up dead on my first time cold camping cause I overestimated my abilities.

Yeah, I looked for a good time to do the overnight, and we did have some nights with lows in the low 40's, but I had family stuff going on those days. Now with it hovering around 0F, I'm nowhere near prepared enough to tackle that.

Cool video, BTW, CB.

I was informed via facebook that you guys were wondering what happened to me (I assume it's because the grammar in this place went to hell in a handbasket; JK).

I know I said I would be back to a regular posting schedule for me (random and long winded short replies, with some failed wit and awkward snark), but I regret to say that I lied. Unintentionally, but I still lied. At the time of my last post I had basically given up hope for completing my Eagle rank, due to the availability of a reasonable project (FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NO MORE BENCHES!!!!!!!!), and the 70 miles I would need to hike (I look like a big, fat, retarded cat in the water, and I'm about as good on a bike) to complete it.

But as of recently I was given a second wind with just 30 days to the day of my 18th Birthday (final deadline for any and all Eagle Scout rank requirements), so with just a sliver of a chance, I'm gonna give it my all, and with any luck, I'll get my remaining 60 miles, my project, and my very over due paperwork done by the second weekend in February (just enough time to get it in to the machine).

If I do make it, any and all 'Heads are invited to my Eagle Ceremony (The cake sure as hell won't be a lie!), just don't expect alcohol (BSA says no... And I don't wanna be left out).

So I'll see y'all again either in a couple weeks, or after I get a few different boots surgically removed from my ass.

Good luck man!

Also, that post is funny as hell :D

QFT. Nice to know its just not the ones around here...

When I was in High School, it wasn't uncommon to have a little delay in the morning, especially in the winter. Every once in a while the bus crew would forget to plug in their buses over the weekend or before a particularly cold day.

Then there were the kids who hopped the fence in the middle of the night to unplug the buses, in anticipation of a snow day.:D
