This Years Holiday Tins

Maverick, just to be sure I'm being clear, the red bone Chinese knives are available individually.

My Walmart never got the 112 collector tins. Does anyone know if their Walmart still has them, this would make a great keepsake for my son's first Christmas. Thanks!

Just checked the other local WW today and they never got them either. If anyone comes across some of these and doesn't buy them all up please let me know. Thanks!

Mattz... I've seen them go for $30 shipped on the big evil E in recent weeks. Hard to beat that if you really want one.

I still haven't found any of the 112 collector's tins, but my son and I were shopping today and there was a tin with two red bone handled knives in the case. It was clearly returned because NONE of the stores in my area got either of the collector's models, and there was sticker and tape residue on the package, but it hadn't been opened at all. I asked the guy to get it out for me, and after about a ten minute wait for him to find the keys he kindly opened the case. He scanned it and a price of $2.50 popped up!!! Needless to say, we bought it! I don't know if I'll open it or not, since it isn't for me, but I'm glad I found one. Now I need to find a 112 to go with it.

That is a sweet steal you got there. I always try to sniff around the back alleys of WW whenever I am there. You never know what might show up!!

You never know what might show up!!

I know what won't show up...knowledgeable store managers... :grumpy:

My local WW never got the "Holiday Tins" during the holidays; only after January...and they never got the Remington holiday knivesets at all...

The only people who had any inkling of what was where were the stockboys...

Sorry about bringing this old thread back. It looks to me that Smokey Mountian Knife Works might be selling some of the Holiday Tins. Sorry, not the 112, but the red bone 2 knife set made in China. I could be wrong, but it sure looks like that set.

Hi Peter78,

Yes that looks just like the wally Red bone set I bought at xmas....and it's $5 cheaper also. No need to be sorry!!!!! The 112 NK buff with buff inlay and chip flint blade will be a must have for most of us here. I think my wife will want to give you an ear full for showing me another Buck knife that I will be ordering this week!!!!!....LOL

You know what. I could kick myself for not buying some of those 112 in the holiday tins. The Walmarts around here carried them for $25 also. But I figured the were cheaper made so I didn't buy any. Shame on me.

Yes, shame on you ky ;) If you still want one I see them on the big evil E fairly often for $25-$30 shipped. That's still less than a run of the mill blister pack 112.

Say what???
John...what Trax asked.

Actually, it had a signature of the founder on the blade. Which I guess is a plus. I would say the only difference was the nylon sheath instead of the leather sheath. So that may be a bit of the cost cutting.

I bought both tins last year, I guess I should of bought a few more of the 112's.
