Thoughts about nutnfancy and cutlerly lover

I enjoy watching there videos. Especially if im in search or a particular knife.

CL is cool but he mainly reviews junk now. It was refreshing to see an Emerson.

I wont apologize for not being interested in cheap crap.

I cant say much positive stuff about nutnfancy. guy cant keep his dumbass political opinions or mall ninja thoughts out of his reviews, and he aint a cop or any other type of LEO like he claims. military, yes, LEO, no. also doesnt know what an SnG is which is ridiculous for someone who basically puts himself out there as an expert.

and Im curious just how tin-foil-hat he really is, because the guy seems to be doing his videos from his underground bunker so the big bad government cant come and take his toys.

Jeff is a really cool guy. I watch nutn's videos too, but I really don't like the political messages and the fact that all he reviews are guns now... Just not interested :\.

I like cutlerylover the best, then HELLZZARMY, then nutnfancy in that order when in comes to knives. But if hickok45 made some knife videos I'd probably prefer his the most.

I definatley enjoy CL videos more. NutnFancy rambles on too much. With that being said BLUNTTRUTH4U had the best knife reviews on YouTube IMO.

Its better to have a review, video product description, opening, whatever rather than nothing. Youtube is a benefit to the knife community for what I'll call "old world products" or products that don't have a lot of information posted by the manufacturers. I even found a review about the dishwasher I was going to buy on youtube.

For nutnfancy's reviews.. To long. I just fast-forward though it or shut the sound off. Not every knife is "tactical" either. I mostly agree with his fav knives. Some of the knives are just goofy like the last cold steel one.

Cuterlylovers are very good, direct, to the point, keep it up..

There is this is this other guy on youtube that is pretty good to. He is a little monotone though. I like his style.: http://www.youtube.com/creativeoutlethobbie

I like them both. I do prefer Jeff/cutlerylover alot more he is cooler IMO and I trust him more when it comes to knives. But I like Nutn too, his reviews are good as well and he reviews stuff like gloves and other equipment too, which is very helpful. But he does refer to almost all knives he likes as tactical weapons which gets annoying how he sees them more as SD weapons as opposed to tools. But when I become a soldier, very soon, I suppose I will find his reviews more helpful than I do now as a civilian. Which you can't blame him for reviewing tac gear more often than knives because that is more of his target audience. Where CL is more watched and preferred by civilians. Many also complain about their vid lengths, which I know can get annoying sometimes and I do skip around alot. But if I was making review like them I would do the same, they do reviews as if they are talking to a real person and talk as long as they need to. I am just glad they are around to help with sometimes difficult decisions for knife enthusiests like us

Nutnfancy's Shot Show vids were really very good...the "dude" count was minimal.
He does get a bit wordy and sometimes tends to over produce his vids with too much extraneous information.
BUT, he has provided me with good infomation, given me ideas, and saved me money....can't ask for much more.

Cutlery Lover's vids are more down to earth and have more the feel of a personal conversation than a hollywood production.

Both are helpful and worth every penny they cost. ;)

I like Jeffs vids much more then nutns....

personally, i have lost lots of confidence in nutns knife vids...he has just shown how little research he does, and goes against lots of things hes always said more recently...just my opinion...

I would like it much more if jeff put out more knife vids, but i think he does a very good job with his videos...and hes a member here on BFC

BLUNTRUTH4U is my man. I like NF and CL though. Even if I don't agree with their opinions there is still a lot of good information to extract. I usually just play them while I play MW 2 and listen after I know what the knife looks like.

I have only seen nutnfancy by accident & it's not something I'd subject myself to again. 5 minutes of reviewing the box a Spyderco came in (including a long winded diatribe about how smart & environmentally sensitive Spyderco is for using a large box for small folders...), a bunch of rambling nonsense about his voice & cold .....

I'd rather have a root canal with no novacaine than listen to him ramble.

I really like nycdave212's videos, to bad there are not that many of them. In most cases I can't get through Nutnfancy's videos, but I still appreciate his time and effort. Better than nutn.

Reviewers like nutnfancy have helped me get an idea of what the gear looks and feels like without having to look and feel myself, something that is next to impossible here because shops just don't stock knives where I live!

One caveat: Nutnfancy over analyses everything and his philosophy tangents can be annoying. But hey, many an afternoon spent cruising youtube out of boredom has been eaten up with his vids. So maybe I shouldn't complain.

I guess my impression of nutnfancy and cutlerylover is more positive than some. I stumbled across these guys by accident, and it was their videos (especially nutn) that got me into knives. I knew nothing about the subject and came across them while looking for kitchen knives

Yes he does ramble, be political, and focus a bit too much on the 'tactical' aspect. I'm also not a gun guy (nothing against them, but they're not the easiest things to get into in Canada). But I am a rational adult, and I know how to extract useful information from both of their videos. Plus some of them are quite entertaining.

I think nutnfancy does great reviews but I can't stand when he talks about stabbing with every knife. He is way too "Tactical" with knives.

I like going to Nutn to see a knife in hand when I'm looking to buy it. I also prefer him to CL, because though Nutn can talk more, CL rambles more. Nutn speaks pointedly, where CL goes off on rabbit trails. Nutn also has a better camera and has better lighting, so I see the knife better. I'm not a gun enthusiast though, so I get tired when both of them just shell out gun videos.

For those who say Nutnfancy rambles, and he does sometimes, so does Cutlerylover. He has a 2-3 minute preface on a lot of videos before he gets into it. I like how Nutnfancy has some method to his madness on how he reviews. He has objective points that he sticks i.e. size, weight, etc. I'm a big fan of both.
