love your 1911 and how there is no roll stamp on the slide, im a 1911 guy, but i only have a couple of officer size guns at the moment, bought my first fullsize 1911 for $300 and was hooked since then, they are great shooting guns, i have learned allot about them, and amateur gunsmithing along the way. my hands do not prefer any other style of handgun over a 1911..
the little bowie is looking good too :) i wouldn't mind owning one myself

That's Buckeye Burl on the Dan Wesson C Bob. I wish I could get more of it. Box Elder looks very similar and just as good if it's dyed right. Not doing much stabilized wood lately, just so bloody expensive.

Flower, word has it another batch will be coming when they get caught up over there. I'm sure once again they will go fast. I think they are like potato chips, ya can't live with just one.

I have not had a day go by where the IBBB wasn't on my hip:)

It's just an incredible design and fantastic EDC.

I have seen nice stabilized wood pieces on Ebay in the low $30's. I don't know much about the various quality. Other places selling it starting at $12.50 /lb which seems not too dramatic.

I just picked up the "ibid":D half to this piece of Oregon Maple for some kitchen knife handles. Im a sucker for beautiful wood! It is pricey at $75 for this extra large piece but it is about twelve inches long and enough for two large knives and a few smaller ones. Cant wait to play with it!

I finally got around to taking some more pictures of the Pen Knife with the cord removed and the horn handle recut. I'm much happier with it without the cord and hope I'm never foolish enough to do that again.

A little natural grain mark on the one side which is how I got it on a long ago DOTD. The checkering helped that a little bit too.

Man you know that is one sweet Pen knife, Oh yeah I forgot I have one too:D:D and with a horn handle. Have the leather cut out for it but have not finished it up yet, guess im lazy. Got something else in the works for ya but you got to wait, just might fit right in this thread too.

it is absolutely beautiful work man , love the cross hatch, makes the knife more impressive overall, just because it has part of your soul now too

Very very nice. You must have the great gift of Tibetan monk patience.

Awesome work Bawanna.

Lets give this post some new life, its been a few days without a peep. I just finished up a couple more Bawanna Bowie sheaths for the man himself. A short story is in order. I spoke with Bawanna about a sheath for his bowie and we came up with an idea, well I started to make it and got all the way to stitching it up and doing the finish work and a light bulb went off and said hey dummy he wears it on the left side cause he wears his pistol on the right, boy was I mad at myself for not remembering that. So I tell him my mistake and we got a laugh out of it, so I send him the pics and he liked it and tried to make me feel better about the mess up, but I told him I would do another and so he wanted it even lower on the handle so as not to hide the workmanship of it, so he gave me complete freedom to do it. Well Bawanna both of these will be coming to ya as I made them specifically for you. Here is what I came up with, I hope you like them.

Both of those are truly beautiful. You do great work, I like that you did them different patterns. On Days when he chooses to wear a shoulder rig for his pistol he can wear the right side one.

Do you do holsters? LOL I am in need of a nice shoulder rig for a Walther PPK. My husband has an old Bianchi X-15 for his 1911 he has worn since mid 1970s. He got it is so long ago that it has "pat pending" on it because they had just created that iconic design. I can't seem to find anything similar that is well made and when he has to wear the PPK because he is all dressed up and can't conceal a 1911 he has a pathetic holster made of (shudder) plastic. Neither one of us like plastic holsters so if you make Leather holsters would definately be interested in talking about cost and logistics ect.

Holy moly! Shoulda known you were up to something! Thats just about as much fine craftmanship as you can get in one small space! That does that Bowie the justice it deserves! Well done Pugs and congrats Bawanna!
