Thoughts and impressions if the new Micro/IBBB/Bawanna Bowie Good and bad.

Well heck, I made a post and I come back and it isn't here.

You knocked me over with these Pugs. Absolutely everything I dreamed of. I can't wait to see em live action and get some good sniffs of leather smell and whatever that stuff you use for dye. Really dig the smell.

You totally aced it this time. Fine work.

Do you do holsters? LOL I am in need of a nice shoulder rig for a Walther PPK. My husband has an old Bianchi X-15 for his 1911 he has worn since mid 1970s. He got it is so long ago that it has "pat pending" on it because they had just created that iconic design. I can't seem to find anything similar that is well made and when he has to wear the PPK because he is all dressed up and can't conceal a 1911 he has a pathetic holster made of (shudder) plastic. Neither one of us like plastic holsters so if you make Leather holsters would definately be interested in talking about cost and logistics ect.

Thank You Shavru, I have not done any holsters, just blade work. The biggest issue is I dont have blue guns to use as a mold and it would be impossible to ship your weapon for the work. Much easier to send a knife.

Well you know im always up to something and thank you, there is some work packed in there for sure, but it came out the way it should.

Im glad you like them, they should serve you well. The smaller one has the small entry (funnel) you wanted and yet still has some retention, you can turn the sheath upside down and the blade will hold. Im thinking the smell is the leather and conditioner I use and yes it has a nice smell to it.
 
gaaaatoooorrrr _ hints at pugs not so subtle-- x2 what ndog said, great work pugs and grats bawanna , the micro bowies are a supra hit
 
Those sheaths look perfect for the knife. If Bawanna's co-workers manage to score some Micro Bowies from the next batch, then I predict they'll be asking Pugs for similar sheaths.

Well Call me Skuter! Thats the word i was looking for:thumbup: Black is very right for that Blade!
 
I keep coming back to this thread for another look see. Damn those look mighty fine. I don't know much about Skuter's but I do love leather in most all forms.

I didn't think there was much of anything that would improve these little Bowie's but Pugs nailed it in one swing this time.(must have been a carpenter in an previous life). Time to invest in a cattle or gator or Skuter ranch, he's gonna need material me thinks.

I'm a very patient person (ok that's a bald faced lie right there) Does the few days include today or not?

Just yanking your lamp cord don't cha know. All good things comes to he who waits even though waiting sucks in my personal opinion. But some of my best things had a lot of waiting involved. You might say I'm an expert on waiting. You'd think I'd be better at it huh?

Just killing time here, it is still today ain't it.
 
Now dont get excited and throw any boxes away today if there aint no Pugs fancy pants in it! Mine should hit your place today. I can see ya opening up a box with a Bowie in it and no pants inside thinking "what the heck"?

I was thinking that too, I'm anxiously awaiting your arrival. Should be here today or tomorrow latest. Hoping for some quality time with it Friday evening and through the weekend, and back in the mail Monday. (I hope).
Hope you sent it in a triangle box that might help ease the pain. You did, didn't ya? Tell me ya did.......
 
Sorry Bawanna. I sent it in the box it came in. The little square one. I just figured out how to do the "Click and ship" thing so I dont have to go to the post office. Much easier. The triangles dont fit in my mailbox.... Bing!!! I need a bigger mailbox!

Don't tell my wife about click and ship. Never heard of it. Ya gotta know how much the package weighs right? It prints out a stamp for ya?

Actually I might have to look into it. Our little post office parking lot is so cramped I can't even get out of my van, not to mention all the rules about stuff I can't take inside, generally everything I wear every day. I send the missus and she handles it.
 
You can use the standard boxes like the ones Aunti uses and is a fixed price for anything you can fit in it. No live Beavers Pugs:D You can pay via Paypal and print a label and stick it to the box and leave it out for pickup. On the website you can indicate wich day you want it picked up so you dont have to leave it outside for any more than necessary. I waited till dark Sunday nite to ship my Bowie on Monday. Couldnt bear to loose it. Let me know when you get it and Ill tell ya if it works?:D:mad::rolleyes::thumbup:

Dude, your talking scary talk, it better show up. I guess we got no huge worries, I got a spare if it looses its way. But how sad would that be?
 
No worries about the post office. I worry more about teen thugs swiping stuff from the mailbox more than the post office. Actually its pretty good out here now. Right after the fire here there were plenty of out of town thugs looking to steel anything that wasnt burnt. They followed the delivery trucks and would steel stuff as they were dropped off! How stupid is that?
 
Sounds like hunting season to me. Don't cotton much to thieves and neer do wells.

Yep, I didn't know if you did or not. Some leathercrafters do, some don't so figured since you do such beautiful work I would ask in case you did. No worry though you are right shipping a gun is a nightmare these days on a par with trying to find someone who thinks congress is doing a good job LOL. No matter your personal beliefs the fact they suck is the one thing everyone agrees on. Anyways, like I said, just thought I would check incase. Might need some leather custom work done for my kuhk. The wooden sheath is great for display and decor but is in no way a useful tool. Need to consider if i am going to carry this one or just use it for Kendo forms and looking good LOL. Have to see what comes up in the next month or 2 for working Kuhks before I decide to convert a wall hanger.
