Thoughts and questions on my new Strider SMF CC

I agree. The scratches on the G10 would drive me crazy. My 2 SnG's have off-centered blades, it did bother me, but it doesnt anymore. It opens perfect and closes tight! The G10 is tough, as I agree with ankerson.
Heres a link, check it out. I found something about Strider blade centering: http://www.bluelinegear.com/t-faq.aspx#25whatis
"IF it turns out that the knife functions better when the blade is not perfectly centered……then we don’t make it perfectly centered. Centered doesn’t mean good. Good means good. If the person that gets the knife isn’t happy with how the blade centering looks, they can send it in and we’ll make them happy. Even if in the end, the knife looks better than it works."
Hope this helps,
Joe

Shit, sorry guys, just read all the posts! The link was already posted..Sorry again.

Everyone has bad days, no one can say they have never experienced it. TNK is a great store and as mentioend my previous 2 experiences have been perfect in every way. Thanks Neil. :)

TNK/Neil is one of my favorite retailers, too. I bought my first Strider from Neil, and have purchased two more from him since then. Each time it's been a flawless experience. Glad to see this resolved. :)

Wow....i really appreciate the apology. It means alot. I also apologize for letting this thread go long. I probably could have handled this complaint a little differently also.
Neil has emailed me personally and sincerely made an effort to recognize the situation. He has also been a liaison between Josh at Strider and I.

Thanks again Neil.

good to know the issue is resolved.

I want to get a smf cc sometime in the future so just out of curiosity (if you don't mind telling), is strider sending you a new knife?

Glad everything seems to be working out for the best. I don't own a Strider but am considering one. I've also heard good things about TNK before so I'm glad Neil was able to chime in and clear the air.

Spending 500+ on a blade and not centered is a problem. Maybe not for you but it is for me.
You're of course perfectly welcome to your own standards for what constitutes a problem. My main reason for not considering it a problem is the remarks from Mick about blade centering that I quoted above (and which someone else also linked to a bit later). If the blade being slightly off-center is the result of the Strider employee putting it together deciding that the knife opens more smoothly, locks up better, and so forth that way, then that's a tradeoff I'm more than happy to accept.
