Thoughts on Spyderco's "blurple" G10

In my experience it is hit or miss with the Loctite issue. They must have one assembler over there who is a lot more liberal with his use of Loctite.

Same here. Every PM2 I've purchased in the last 6 months or so has had red loctite applied, but some have had MUCH more than others.

I for one like the use of Loctite. I would just like to be able to take the knife apart without having to break out the wood burner and vice grips. I have had other knives from other big manufacturers that don't use anything and I have had screws that were loose out of the box. That just seems slack to me. Just maybe not quite so much loctite sometimes would be nice.

I'm with you. I just don't see the need to use RED Loctite. Blue 243 holds just fine and is much easier to remove.

Not a fan really. To me the color just doesn't mesh well with the asthetic of the knives. The blades they come on just look more rugged than a "blurple" handled knife. They look much better in natural colors and even orange!

Most knives I prefer with black scales but I do like Spyderco's "bluple" and even some knives in orange or coyote brown.
