Three knives....

Thanks! Second to last for the choppers, is a Livesay RTAK...

Rock6, you have some great looking gear man...I love the Fehrman, what model is that..It resembles my First Strike, but heavier in the front end. I am going after one of those Brownings next...I can't wait to try it out. Overall, you have a great collection of ALL very tough and useful blades. I am envious of the Skookum as well...I have 2 ordered months ago...I am waiting in pain and agony for them. Gene

From what I own... cheap, but it works, for now :)

1. Vict. Trekker
2. Kabar/Dozier folding hunterpoint
3. Cold steel bushman or Gossman PSK, or both, really depends.

1.Mora 2000 or Clipper or Triflex
2. Vic Compact
3.Vic OH Trekker

or
1.Mora 2000 or Clipper or Triflex
2.Vic Huntsman or Swisschamp
3. Medium or small Stockman pattern.

And always my Fiskars hatchet or maybe the Wetterlings.

Thanks Gene, that Fehrman is the "Extreme Judgement"...a little more weight and recurve than the standard Final Judgement; blade is still ~9".

I need to add a plug in for Rod Garcia. I ordered the SBT when I was still in Iraq and Rod walked me through my choices and provided feedback and recommendation...he was great to work with on this knife. Now that I'm home and have my hands on it...I'm very impressed; it's one heck of a well designed bush tool.

rock-- thanks.... i meant to say the second to the last(L to R) in the medium fixed blades....

mike

Sorry mike. The second to last is Bark River's Nebula with Bocate wood handles. It's flanked by Bark River's Kephart (the white handles) and Roselli's Hunter in UHC.

I have both the Nebula and Aurora, but I've found the narrower grips of the Nebula much easier to manipulate for wood working. It has that hybrid Scandi/Convex grind, but I've been using convex blades for a while and prefer them for a lot of cutting chores.

Here's my newest Combo!.. I have finally finished modding out my BK9..I ground off the thumb ramp, and added some thumbgrooves, stripped it, and fashioned a 9 oz. leather pouch sheath for it. I included a pouch for a Puma brand sharpening steel. I didn't include a firesteel loop as I usually have one on my 4" blade sheath. I am finding that I carry any one of these three 4" knives..they are the Gameskeeper, Aurora, and a woodslore knife from Wright and Sons out of Sheffield, England. I believe the Wetterlings is a must have, no mattter how stout your chopper...why make do, when you can have the right tool for the job.
So, with a good carving knife, a slicer/ chopper and a hatchet, I feel just fine out and about. I also have a means to make fire and a means to maintain my tools with this setup. Gene

Why thank you....I am really loving the BK9..I have several choppers, and it just chews through 2x4's and the like..I didn't like the thumbramp, so I took care of that, now its my favorite big knife. At least this week...lol. Gene

I'm not him and don't know about the Falkniven, but the Busse is a Badger Attack TAC (BATAC).

Rick

Thanks then that would mean the Fallniven is the F1, Given the Busse model and its size made it easier to guess the Fallniven model.

Shipwreck,

I don't know you or anything, but if we're gonna be asking for stuff, do you think you could get me all of Rock 6 and Gunknifenut's blades???

for me its usually an opinel #7 and a hatchet

sometimes its a take down 24" buck saw or a little folding saw, for more intensive trips

1. 15" HI AK Khuk
2. Victorinox 1 handed Trekker
3. Tak-1 or Becker Crewman

I would probably sneak one of my Mora's in the pack. They're so light you never notice them.
