Three knives....

I carry on my belt my SOG Field Pup and my SOG Powerlock, then on my pocket it's either my SOG Vulcan or my Benchmade Griptilian.

1) Always on me - Leatherman Wave
2) I always take when I leave civilization - KJ Erickson Mora #510
3) Take when camping - Hatchet (WallyWorld special right now, hopefully a Wetterlings someday.)

Now, this sceanario makes much more sense to me.

Short hike:
small fixed blade - 3-3.5"
lock blade folder
SAK

Long hike:
fixed blade - 4-4.25"
lock blade folder
SAK

Extended or deep woods:
large fixed blade - 5-6.5"
small fixed blade - 3-3.5"
SAK

I alternate between these.

Anticipating a lot of wet conditions:
Large no name khuk (soon to be CS trailhawk)
modded Buck Fieldmate 639 (added lanyard hole, mirror polished the blade)
Smith&Wesson Aquanaut
Microtech UTX-70

Dry conditions:
Large no name khuk (soon to be CS trailhawk)
SOG Recon Bowie
modded Buck Fieldmate 639 (added lanyard hole, mirror polished the blade)
Mikov auto with saw blade

Don't Know Conditions:
Large no name khuk (soon to be CS trailhawk)
SOG Recon Bowie
modded Buck Fieldmate 639 (added lanyard hole, mirror polished the blade)
Mikov auto with saw blade
Smith&Wesson Aquanaut
and a ziplock bag

If I was only allowed to take 3 and had no idea what conditions:
Large no name khuk (soon to be CS trailhawk)
SOG Recon Bowie
modded Buck Fieldmate 639 (added lanyard hole, mirror polished the blade)
