When I moved to Connecticut last year I had packed up the remnants of my collection but threw this Schrade SP3 in my pocket and it ended up being the cure for high end knives. Just like an inexpensive car will get you from point A to point B the Schrade is a great pocketknife.View attachment 3076854

Thanks for the "heads up".
I haven't carried mine very much, so I haven't noticed any paint problems yet.
I think RR has some aluminum handle knives with a jigged or crinkly texture. Do you have any idea how the paint holds up on those?

The crinkled one I have seems anodized and not painted. It holds up much better.

Here's a large (4" closed) yellow synthetic Rough Rider stockman with carbon steel blades I got myself for Christmas. I'm not a fan of square bolsters, but I thought I should have a big carbon steel stockman and I wasn't finding many with round bolsters. This one fits my knife budget better than a Case 6375. It also cuts up an apple better than almost any knife I have (except Opinel) because the blades are so thin.

Yes it is!!
Sanded it and gave it a half way patina!!
