Ti Framelock Military

Please make this knife with an ambidextrous pocket clip. Isn't it easy to just make an extra set of holes?

A Ti paramilitary would also be great. I live in the UK and the laws here prevent us from taking a knife outside, not even for fishing or hunting. Many other European countries have the same laws and a knife the size of a military is not generally ideal inside a home, however the para is a good size for people who are restricted to home use only...
And just think, we want to emulate Europe.

I miss the United State of America........

It looks good to me, too. ;) :D
Scroll on down if you follow that link, I added a few more pictures this evening.

That knife looks better every time I see it. I am really looking forward to these knives being released.

So, any info where this beauty will be available? I've read that before Christmas...

That's what I'm still hoping for but they'd have to be shipping from the distributors by the around the 21st or even sooner to make it to most of us by the 24th which means they'd have to be leaving Golden any day now.

My goodness I've been waiting 13 years for that to happen !!!
This Ti Mil RIL is going to be an apogee !

The only one I have bought so far is one of the old two-screw-clip originals, back when they first came out. So that was like 1993 or 4. I am on The Cutlery Shoppe pre-order list, and looking forward to this new design.

I had to re-locate the clip on my old one to a tip-up style, as the screw holes stripped out, due to too little material to bite into. Also the original CPM-440V blade chips out way too easily. I still use it, and in fact have gone back to carrying it since getting my new job at Tinker AFB as a Sheet Metal Mechanic. I need a knife I can use and not worry if it gets beat up, and it will. Since the blade chips it, will eventually hit the trash, as I have to sharpen it far too frequently.

Depending on how the blade on this new model performs, it may take the place of the old one.

Sure glad the new one is still a tip-down design. Don't like tip-up all that much. Its okay for a waved knife, like my CS Large Espada. But if no wave, I prefer tip-down.

I'm watching my bank account daily, when I see the money gone, I'll know the knife is on the way.

I'm interested in this knife as I have seen the RIL framelock and I like titanium.

One question: Will this Ti Military be as easy to strip and assemble as, say, a Sebenza? Or is the only Chris Reeve feature really being incorporated into this new model the actual lockup?

The standard Military comes apart pretty easily, so I would guess this one will too. Here's a great page on how to strip and lube a Military.

Why would you want to? I've been carrying knives for more than forty years and aside from replacing a few broken blades and springs, I've seldom found any need to take my knives apart. Especially with the open construction of the Military, taking it apart and putting it back together just accelerates wear.

If you are asking "Does it incorporate the pivot bushing and one millionth inch precision machining that Chris Reeve uses in the Sebenza?" the answer is no, or it would cost at least as much as a Sebenza. It uses the Reeve Integral Lock, which (unlike other makers) Sal gives him credit for instead of calling it a framelock. That's it.
