Ti JYD II SG2

But can you make optional clip for back?
And some thumb-stud or thumb-notch?

Thanks, Vassili.
Sorry Vassili.

BTW, can you make blade with Suminogashi, not Alabama Damascus from Pakistan?
Ha, you make me laugh Vassili. Good stuff.

You guys and your damascus, talk about opening Pandora's box.

You got that right Glockman! Tim is doing some great designs and he is such a youngster he'll be the go to expert long after all us old farts are long gone. :(

Oh, and here Tim's real deal.

This knife deserves another bump/quote

I don't have any public info at this time. Sorry.

Don't think we didn't notice the "Public"...

For everything else, there's Mastercard. ;)

That made me laugh! Good one!

Sorry Vassili.
I can handle it...

...I hope you will not have famous bleached camel bones on scale from Alabama Damascus...

But Japan found really nice solution to have any "damascus" pattern and have good edge. Do not you have it on your kitchen models? In this terms SGPS can be inside Suminogashi not SG2.

You do have some special relation with Japan don't you? Bringing to us the best out of there...

Thanks, Vassili.

Thomas - very handsome knife indeed. I'm curious about the grind ... was there a particular reason, SG-2/laminate perhaps, that dictated changing from the high flat grind of the regular model?

Thomas, answer please. I prefer the high flat grind. ;)

With an MSRP of $240.00 (the same as the ZDP Cyclone). Street price should be around $150.00.

just a few seconds too late.

Aaaaarggh! Thomas, you are killing me!
Aren't the first few Tyrades shipping this month?
Already had to shell out for a new digital camera this month.
Going on a trip to a place I won't even be able to carry a knife.
I didn't pre-order the Tyrade because I knew that I wouldn't be around to receive the thing if it ships after the 8th, but I am determined to get one of the first 100.
Now you say that the Ti JYD II SG2 (another knife I was determined to get) will also ship this month. Will it be numbered?

The Ti Dog looks great! I really need to get one.
The Custom Dog is just amazing! The Damascus looks fantastic! I like the handle color and the fact that it is radiused.

What do I do?????

Super nice knife. Yeah, a smaller version would be awesome. I also just realized that the JYD and JYD II do not have thumb studs. Any reason for this? I understand there's the flipper when one wants to flip the blade open, but what about when that person wants to open the knife in a more subtle way while employing one hand?

Thats a beauty !! But wheres the grafitti ? lol How about anodizing the Ti scales with some colors? OD, maybe a blue?

And the list of wants keeps growing. Any plans on upgrading the Lahar in a similar fashion?

Well when we flat ground the SG2, you couldn't see the laminate. So we had to hollow grind it to fully expose the 2 steels. I will say it is nice and thin with the hollow grind, but not quite as sexy.

How is the weight compared with the reg Junkyard Dog II?
The weight is virtually the same on both models. This piece is a full 5+ oz.

Well, we wanted to go as close to the custom as we could, so no colors. Now we are taking an extra step and ceramic blasting the Ti. This will keep the scarring to a minimum.

These will not be numbered.

You should have seen the meeting we had with Tim trying to convince him to put the thumb stud on the Lahar!

Yes, we do have many close ties in Japan, and I think we have done a decent job bringing in exotic steel from there to date (sporting & kitchen knives). Let's see what 08 will bring.
