Tidings and the return of Schatt and Morgan?

So, finally they have been made! Anyone have that new Cooper's S&M "3W Mountain Man"? How do you like it?

There was a Drop of the rebranded S & M brand this week. Was through a well known seller, anyone here score one. They looked well made.

Thanks for the notification about their drop. That knife looks fantastic. Even though Ive tried to keep up with Cooper for a little while, all I've seen are those big chief knives for sale or the forum favorite weed knives.

I'm not in the know enough to buy one, and two bills is a bit high for me personally... but it is exciting to see for sure and look forward to seeing more.

Man... A nice, large, jigged bone Wharncliffe would be one heck of an attractive, useful knife. The jigging looks especially cool from the listing photos.

I hope someone posts a lot of photos! 😁

As someone who has been skeptical about this venture from the start, I have to say that the recently released Schatt & Morgan knives, based solely on the dealer photos, definitely appear to be improved compared to their earlier efforts. That said, I’m still far from a place where I’d be willing to spend my own money to find out. For one thing, I just don’t like the pattern much. It’s also priced about $80 more than I’d expect to pay for comparable, single-blade GEC.

I’d definitely be curious to see some pics and hear some thoughts if anyone here gets one in hand.

I cannot say personally, but i saw pics and thoughts on another Forum. Very good review of a well made knife.

I would love to see a good quality knife, but not if it is higher than GEC knives and the fit and finish are are still not fully known. I was turned off by the weed knives.

A non BF supported dealer mentions in the description that the quality has improved tremendously since their first release and still considers these knives similar to Case quality fit and finish is good, blades are centered but the blade edges are not razor sharp. I'll give that dealer credit for mentioning this and it would be nice if a member who has one provides a hands on update. I'm staying on the sidelines for now and wish Cooper Cutlery all the best because it would be nice to have another great USA maker

Schatt & Morgan #3W Mountain Man Jigged Camel Bone in 1095 straight from Cooper Cutlery!

H U G E knife with a stiff action! Definitely deserves the name!
Came sharp and ready to work straight out of the classic box.
Very surprised by this piece and excited to see whats next!
Hoping for small smaller edc friendly blades.

Although there are some gaps between the bolster and bone, and shield and bone. The kick might need to be dropped as well.
Overall happy with what I paid and excited to see how the brand grows!

I did it again....
Schatt & Morgan Select #01 Antique White 1095 1/30
Hollow grind, pinchable blade on half stops.
Arrived NIB but I had to use it.
Feels great in the hand.
Great fit and finish.
Stag has a nice look/ finish to it. Reached out on what makes it 'antique'.
Overall VERY happy with this purchase.

Threw this into my pocket immediately so no before pics!

They are starting to produce traditional cutlery that is more conventional in nature. I saw a couple of them I would be proud to own. Their drops seem to sell out as fast as 4 guys can manufacture them.

Best regards,

Great action on this one with a heavier pull.
Been a fan of them for awhile. Loving what they’ve been putting out recently

I finally purchased a Cooper and I have to say I’m extremely pleased. The fit and finish is stellar and the action is as good as anything else I own. I believe they have created a niche for themselves in the traditional market.

Best regards,
