Tidioutte 23TL Bullock has landed!

Great pics & review Trev, thanks for taking the time.
And congrats on the fine acquisition, that Grizzly Cut Bone looks fantastic.
I've been anxiously waiting to hear what folks thought of the Lever/Fulcrum Locking mechanism & can't wait to hear others thoughts on it also.
I prefer it to a lock back after handling the old one Glennbad rebuilt for me.It is very solid with no play either way in the open position.

It sure looks to be,the 73s are 3 3/4" & the 23s are 4 1/2" & judging by Trev's first pic it looks like about a 3/4" difference between the 2.

Spot on assessment! It is 3/4' larger than the 73 putting it at 4 1/2'.

Wow. Fabulous pictures. And I'm so relieved that it's too big for me! Had been the size of the 73 I'd have been sunk.

The security at GEC has been tightened up considerably, but every once in a while my spies have some success!

I like the Grizz, but this is my Grail!!

The blade looks very Sodbuster-y to me. Not a bad thing, but I would prefer a clip. Very(!) nice knife, one I'd love to have, especially considering its size.

Fantastic pics too btw. :)

Just what I would call my perfect knife : pattern (half Mountain man / half Sodbuster : what is there not to love ?) good size : a real man's folder, beautiful, wait no... absolutely splendid handle. A true beauty, must have immediately... I just happen to hate the locking mechanism : cumbersome, destroys the pocket, hurts the leg and eventually : what's it good for ? I prefer by far a strong spring with an effective locking action like on my latest acquisition : Tidioute Sunfish, a real pork pie killer but steady enough to slice up truck tyres (if you're into that sort of thing). First time I see an american knife rivalling the locking action of my Laguioles...

I got mine on Friday. Took a few pics. It looks funny with the Tidioute upside down like that. Very big knife, but thinnish like was mentione earlier. Edge is servicable. The "walk and talk" is a little stiff but it is a locking blade. Very nicely made and the covers are beautiful! This knife would be a good candidate for a leather sheath. Also notice its not numbered but has 1 of 25 on the blade. I thought they only did that to numbered knives?

IMO, the tidioute is "right way up" Dave!
The industry "standard" of nomenclature for 100s of years denotes the backspring as the back of the knife, and you sit the knife on its back to describe and display it.
Nice knife!!

But then I noticed your shoe was on the wrong foot!!
:D

Wow, Charlie, that Northfield is sweeeeet! Love the jigging!

Between a 23TL, a Charlow, a Conductor, and a White Owl with bail, I'm never going to be done saving... and all of this with a baby coming! Shucks, would it be poor form to put pocketknives on a baby shower gift registry?!? ;)
