Tim Horan Knives???

Mr. Horan shipped my knives on Saturday, just got them today. He also sent a free Horan Knives hat, a small tanto and a pair of CF chop sticks. Knives look like they will take a beating. Fit & finish is not bad.
I'll let you know how they perform when I get the chance to test drive them and I'll give you a more in-depth review of the knives as a whole.

Tim..Next time how about not being a liar, ship the knives when you say your going to and keep
the charming hat, small tanto & pair of CF chop sticks...:rolleyes:

I am glad you got your knives. It is sad that it went down like that. Leisure spending for something fun, should be, well,........... it should be fun, not painstakingly annoying. I am glad to know about this Mr. Horan. Thank you for posting this story.
 
Thanks everyone for the support in this matter. I am happy it’s done now and Yes CJ, it should have been more fun to get these knives.

I do want to make it clear that my intension in making this post was not to "Smear" Mr. Horan. I did my best to only state the facts of the matter and not name call. Every time I have spoken to Mr. Horan on the phone he seemed like a real nice guy and he might very well be. However, his business practices leave quite a lot to be desired. I am glad this is over now, more so I think than I am happy to have these knives and that’s too bad because I was really excited about them when I placed the order. Now, it seems all of the anticipation to get them out in the woods and put them to the test is gone. I will, at some time in the near future get them out and run them through their paces, take some pics and post a review.
I would say at first glance and a little playing in the living room, setting the Horan WiSK beside the Beck Model C, I would spend the extra few hundred bucks and get the Beck if anyone is interested in a Tracker type knife. This summer I will be getting both the Beck & the Horan out, side by side and doing the work, so I'll let you know.

Just to add my story. I have placed order with Horan in 2010.
Paid him since he said he is about to complete the order:
Feb 8, 2012 $450.00
And then paid him the rest since he said it is ready to ship.
Mar 15, 2012 $470.00

After that several dozen emails have been exchange and even several phone calls. And I still don't have the knives. I asked several time to have my money returned just to be answered with silence. Today I have checked his website and it is down for none payment of hosting fees.

Now I'm out of $920 and have pretty much no hope to ever see my money or the knife again.

I would appreciate if you guys have any advice.
