Somewhere around 220 seems close to "Go directly to the Hospital. Do not pass Go."

C-bear - Hope the ankle heals quickly. I hope you were able to ice it right away. Cold packs only help during the first 24 - 36 hours. After that, warm compresses are the thing. The extra heat fools the body into thinking the area is over heated and needs more blood flowing through the area to cool it off, which in turn means more blood flows through the area, which will help speed the healing process. Unless of course you tore something and totally did the pooch - then it's gonna take a while.

With BP meds, sometimes it takes a while to figure out the right dosage and combination. I've been on 10mg of Lisinopril (or Accupril or Zestril or whatevertri - all the same just different companiesl- depends on my insurance formulary at the time) for nearly 20 years and it's been working fine.

My mother, on the other hand takes 40mg of Lisinopril plus 10mg of something else, to keep hers in check.

I know you've already heard this, but loosing weight will help. When I dropped below 160 when on chemo, I had to stop taking the 10mg I was taking as I was passing out from low BP. After I gained the weight back (double rats) I had to start taking it again.

Well, in case I'm not at the computer then, happy b-day in advance. I'm in Hawaii on vacation now, so I've been a little absent from the interwebs. I have been busy ordering stuff for knife projects though while I'm out of town. Should have some steel and new belts waiting for me when I get back, and I'm going to try to source some koa while I'm out here.

Cbear, if you happen to have a doc around who does osteopathic manipulation, they might be able to get your ankle fixed up a bit faster, if you didn't actually tear anything. At this point, I can't even count the number of times I've hurt myself pretty badly doing Krav Maga or something else, and my wife just fixed it for me when I got home.

What's everyone doing today? I'm hoping to do some fishing this afternoon if Toyota gets my pickup back to me today. I dropped it off last night so they can check out a noise its making at startup and to do a computer update. I'm trying to get a new battery out of them too, but I doubt that will happen. If I don't get to do any fishing I think I'll fire up the grill tonight and have a ribeye and some taters.

Hope they get that straightened out for you asap Cbear. We wound up topping a foot of snow over two inches of sleet/ice for the evening's entertainment. Two below zero tonight. Very unusual for this part of the world. First time snowshoes would be useful in a good long while here.
I'm going to hike back to the swamp this weekend, think it would make some interesting pictures. :D

Sheesh. Its gonna be colder there than here tonight. Its like -10 here right now, but we are supposed to hit 30ish today and only get down to around 20 tonight.

Finally put the micarta from me le bk10 on something. Threw them on my 7 and I've gotta say, I don't know why I waited so long.
