Man... That poor Yuma seems to be passed around more than boudin at a gathering.

Mmmm, yes it has, what spikebot hasn't told you is that I restored it to new condition for him. He's sitting on a real jewel. In its travels it managed to get the edge boogered up pretty well. But nothin that couldnt be fixed. As well as a new etching job and sheath.

Thanks, that was my personal Yuma, I made it for me. Someone convinced me that they deserved it more than I did. So, off it went. It was really nice.

That brings up an interesting question, what is the main blade you use and carry these days? Yuma or Magua?

Just curious really. Its always interesting to me to hear what different makers actually carry and use.

If it were legal to carry anything with a blade here my answer would be different, but as it stands the only thing i leave the house with is one of my Hex Hawks... Which is still technically a no-no since it has a sharp edge.... But i'll wait till im actually told its a no-no before i take it off my keychain.. If it gets confiscated i have a backup LOL.

He's left that out, but I have a keen memory and I know where to scrounge up a Magua.

Yes... The wheels may be turning a bit.

You're right I did forgot to mention that, but what I also forgot to mention is that the fact that you went through the trouble to do that for me (which I greatly appreciate) makes me feel bad even think about trading it. The more I fondle it and think about it, the more I realize that I'm just going to keep it. And make it my own. And by a magua later down the road

I hope you didn't think I had you fix it up so I could just turn around and sell it, because that was not my intention at all. And the fact that I've come across that way makes me sick, because I am not that kind of person, so I would like to go ahead and say thank you again for fixing it up, and I would like to apologize.

Got another convert today. Guy at work was going for an Ontario rtak 2, and I talked him into a BK9 :D

Awesome. The newer RTAK II is supposed to be pretty good but they are huge. Plus if you want kydex for it, you're better off just getting a Junglas.

i bought a trunk

Pretty sweet haul there.

So the I got a call back about the '79 Lincoln Mark V I posted earlier. Lady told me where it was parked but her husband is out of town and won't be able to show it until the weekend. I scoped out the outside and peeked in the windows, asking price seems fair but it has a vinyl top that's cracked and some heavy surface rust around the bottom edge of the vinyl which concerns me but it doesn't look like it goes through the body so maybe the panels don't need patching. I can tell from the tread that it needs an alignment but that's not a big deal, some of the trim is a little banged up and the paint is worse than I thought. And the wheels also have surface rust. The interior looks pretty good and the body is straight so I'll probably take it for a test drive but I don't know if we'll be able to agree on a price. What they're asking is a fair price but to me it's a just-for-fun car and I'm tired of driving rusty vehicles so the body work won't get put off for long if I do get it. To that end I don't think I am willing to part with more than $800 for it (they're asking $1200) whereas before I might have gotten pretty close to $1000. If they'll let me I might swing by a body shop and get an opinion about the rust.

Its crazy about the differences in knife laws between state. Legally, Indiana doesn't give a shit if you carry a freaking broadsword on your person. I have researched it with local attorneys and they even tell me, if a cop gives me shit about a knife I carry, give them a call, they would love to have the case, because Indiana really has no knife laws. Now that doesnt mean I wont get hassled by law enforcement if I carried a M18 into Applebees, but legally, they shouldn't be able to do anything about it. Doesnt mean I wont go to nail first because of there ignorance though.

To answer your question. My personal carry is my Tradewater, the same one that came in second place in Ethans knife makers challenge a few years back. It goes on my belt, the sheath goes down in my pocket, and for a 9in OAL blade, you would never know I have it on. Aside from that, I too have a little keychain thingy of my own I carry. M18 in the Jeep. My wife carries a pink handled Hornet in her purse ever day, and has a pink and tan Yuma in her car.

You owe me no apologies SB. But as I've said before, if you want something different, I will offer you trade in credit. You will come out ahead on the deal, all you gotta do is let me know and we can work out the details.

Just picked up both.....really looking forward to giving them both a thorough thrashing. Also got a TOPS Machete .230 off the exchange today. And this after I told myself I wasn't going to buy anything else after the Junglas. I never listen. Probably shouldn't even look at the exchange for a while....I'm like my own worst enemy.

Spike, I think you would really enjoy the Magua. Mine gets a good amount of use. More than a Yuma would if I had one. You should try to hold on to the Yuma and save up for a Magua because you will inevitably want both... You know how this all works.

With that said, I might be talking with the man this weekend. If you I really want a trade, let me know before I break down and order a Yuma or TW of my own.... Which may happen this weekend depending on how much I drink while at the shop.

Hush, you!

Spike - Or just take this man up on his offer. He'll make sure you get exactly what you want and make sure the Yuma finds a good home.

I'm going to have to look into getting a Yuma or maybe a Magua or maybe both myself. I hear that Tim guy makes a heck of a knife. :)

SB, forget everything I said, screw Jerry! If I can get him drunk and take advantage of him this weekend I will. Somehow that guy has figured out a process here and has managed several hundred dollars of knives for just a single trade of about $40. bucks..... still dont know how he pulled that one over on me, but my radar is finally tuned Into him. Lol. You gotta watch that guy!. :D

JERRY! Beers on my this weekend you Sumbitch! Lol! :D:thumbup:

Wait a second,...... now hes getting free beer off of me. Dammnit that guy is slick! :(

Just thought of this one... Todd, post a picture of that cool little knife that is right inbetween the Yuma and Magus size-wise. Spike might really like that one.

Oh, and a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.... It helps when the tree is well supplied with good beer.

He does alright, I mean they're no Schrade or anything. :D

No but seriously get a maguna and a hornet. I normally can't even use knives that small but damn that Hornet is a wicked handy little bugger. I don't have a Yuma yet but I need to get one.

Well, o.k. I guess, but I havnt decided if im going to release these into the world or not. Im undecided...... this knife is what would be a result if a Yuma and Magua got in bed and had a kid. The working title is the Trailmate. Got a huge stack of them in 154 cm in the shop, gonna see how they do at Blade.
