Great pic. Love southern sandstone!

Good job!!

I got the itch to go fishing this morning, so I hit the lake before sunrise

Started my morning with one of these

And then I caught 10 of these

I kept those 5 and threw 5 smaller ones back. I got a couple northern pike mixed in there too, but they all went back in the drink.

Then I headed home

ETA: Holy crap! Didn't realize my dash was that dirty!!

AC, where is the Gratuitous Becker pic

Nice fish BTW

Thanks. I actually thought about that while I was headed off the lake. I had my bk24 sitting in my cup holder the whole time I was fishing too. It woulda been perfect so item to compare it with the size of the fish.

Nice haul AC, looks like you'll be eatin' good tonight! Your ice is looking a little soft in your last pic; same as here. Was hoping to head out again on the weekend, but with the warm weather all this week, dunno if I want to deal with all the flood water. Hope you make it out tomorrow!

Oh, and happy bee-lated birthday to Woody!

Spent the day at the MoS (Museum of Science) in Boston today. The Theater of Electricity:

Those things in the back are three story tall Van de Graaff generators. They make lightning. Small lightning, but it is lightning nonetheless:

Also got a pic of my 24 with some dinosaur poop. Gotta dig that one off my camera, tho....

The ice actually isn't too bad yet. That is mostly just snow melting. The places that you get on the lake are going to start getting bad really fast now. When I drove off the lake this afternoon the landing was really starting to get covered by water and mud.

No fish to eat today, but I kept a few fillets on water in the fridge for tomorrow.

That is amazing.

Jared, how are you doing?
I'm doing good, even though it's a sad, sad day. Clarkson got suspended for a "faracas" with the producer, I found out that FinalGear got a cease and desist letter from some a**hats in the UK that "represent the BBC" so they shut down so I can't even GET the latest episodes of Top Gear. Clarkson has been the presenter for... 17 series(?). I believe he came on in Series 5, although I'd have to go back and rewatch it to double check. I managed to find some of series 22 floating in the bay so I am trying to fish them out, but they have so many leaches on them it's taking quite a lot of work to get them.

I'm off tomorrow though from work so I am going to be running around doing stuff. Going up to Grand Prairie tomorrow, I need to get a couple of tek-loks cause I want to see about mounting a couple of sheaths for belts. I got some stuff on order too, getting a new sphygomameter because after talking to (and seeing the doctor) we figured out part of the reason I was getting SUCH horrible numbers was cause my cuff was too small, it fit, but it didn't. So getting a new cuff tomorrow too. That will help. When I had him check it, it was still "up" (135/85) but much better than the readings I was getting.

I got some belts ordered from SOE as well, but I'm trying not to think about those cause I got them during the sale, and that ALWAYS takes a long time. Thankfully I have another belt that I got at Blade last year that is BALLER (from them as well) so I'm at least not walking around looking like I wanna get shot by a cop. ;)

This weekend I'm up in Springfield, I got another conference to go to. The nice part is this is paid for by work, I get my time paid for by work, and on top of that I get a free room (well it's actually MY room at Matt's house) but it's still better than having to share a hotel with a co-worker.

How has everyone else's day been? What's new with ya'll?

AC Nice fishies! Would those be good for a fry?

I love Van De graaf machines! There is actually a website that sells small ones that you assemble at home and can have fun with... I been tempted for SO long to get one. But I really want to first get a roto-vapor.

Looks like a cool outing GSOM. Did you go with your kids?

Just one of them, my 14 year old and her friend from school - they are on vaca this week and next. Her friend's favorite was this^^^

That is amazing.

It is pretty freakin' cool. They also have some small Tesla coils that shoot sparks out the top, and some larger ones that they actually have programmed to discharge at different frequencies sequentially, so they play music while pretty much shooting lightning all over the place. Not my video, but similar.

Also went to see a film about humpback whales at the Mugar Omni Theater, which is an IMAX surround theater. What's cool is, the introduction is in part narrated by Leonard Nimoy, who grew up about three blocks from the MoS. Live long and prosper.

They are amazing breaded and deep fried or pan fried Cbear. I usually pat them dry and sprinkle with lemon pepper. Then bread in your choice of breading and into the deep frier until they float and are golden brown.

Even better.......salt and pepper, put em in a tinfoil "boat" on the grill with a few pats of butter, and slices of onion and lemon on top.

Lol, coming from someone that totally disappeared for months on end................ ;) luv ya Moosey, even though you dont wear panties under you skirt, ...... I mean kilt.

I guess if I have any news, today was a pretty cool day in the shop, I'm experimenting with new steels. 1095, 440C, CPM 3V and 154CM. The heat treat is quite different on these, some more complicated than others. But I just dont believe in paying money to put trust in someone else on my product when I have the technology to do it here in house. You can never be the best if you pay others to do your work. Just my thought. Anyway, I heat treated some 440C today, first time ever. I air plate quenched which was another first. Pretty cool really once I got it set up. It turned out well, was a couple of points off what I thought it should of been, but could correct it in the draw. Im gonna get this. Im supper excited.
