Rub some bacon on it.
Good idea. If it floats, it's witchcraft. Burn it. If it sinks, it's witchcraft getting what it deserves.
If Bladite makes one of those with his new hand tools, it will advance him to Level 8 Warlock, I believe.
Wanted to make another plug for Dresnor as we can vote each day. Time to put a Beckerhead on the moon, or wherever they end up filming.

If bladite makes one of those with just hand tools he may be in the wrong profession! Especially if he figures out how to do it without any plans or instructions.
I wouldnt burn it if i had one![]()
Unless i woke up with purple wings or some such crap....
Ethan is thinking "mineral oil"... won't go rancid, is wood friendly enough.
Won't waste bacon either. That's why Ethan is in charge.
In all seriousness, I envy your recent acquisitions and look forward to seeing what you come up with. I would love to find a traditional wood worker around here to learn from. I wonder if the Amish have apprentice programs...
Yah, do it whatever way you want (even if you're totally wrongEhh... I'm with ZZ on this. A small dash of oil seems to help. I've done both, I like the bit of oil. Do it however you like it, I do. Besides... Don't care what Alton thinks. Emeril uses oil if you want to name drop.. Guess what? Don't care what Emeril thinks either.
Doc
Yah, do it whatever way you want (even if you're totally wrong). IMO oil in the boil makes for pasta that is a bit slimy and doesn't hold sauce well. But that's me, and I am no celebrity chef.
male and female block planes

the screws are very tight / stuck... need to figure a way to get them moving. i'm thinking "warm / hot day, and tung oil? and ... hot wax?"
Even Ethan's mom says no evidence they could find of oil preventing boilovers....tho they did say you could add a tablespoon of fat if desired to help prevent clumping. I find if the pot is big enough to keep an almost rolling boil going, spaghetti won't clump anyway, just from the agitation - rolling - of the water. Works for me, anyway.there is something you can put in the water, as a surficant, to keep boil overs more rare and controlled, yah?
