typically....

wallet- gucci- don't know how much, it was a gift from my fiancee. theres never much cash in it :(

usually benchmade 690- $110 i think i paid?

if not the BM 690, then a BM griptillian (gift.. $60?) or emerson karambit folder (around $200.. gift from the fiancee)

2 key rings with various keys, one with a spyderco ladybug-dont remember the cost, it was too long ago... $20?

2 omamori. they are japanese good luck charms. one was a gift, the other i dont remember the cost, around 500 yen i think... less than $5.

about $1-$2 in change

cell phone - $80 i think

frequently, but not always: fuji Z2 digital camera- $300 something. bought it in japan for like 35000 yen.

if i am going out at night i have a surefire G2 ($35), which replaced my 6Z that was stolen from my car.

so between like $166 - $642, depending on what i have, not counting the wallet.

how do some of you carry so much stuff? i cant stand carrying a lot of stuff.

I don't carry an awful lot, but even still I spend some time figuring out the best way to do so. I dislike loading up my pockets (keys and wallet, notepad if I'm at work, that's it) but I can't stand having anything on my belt that impedes my step or that digs into my back when I sit down. At least I have a half-decent amount of belt space, to negotiate hip-carry, but as I lose weight, a few inches of this is going bye-bye.

It's my understanding that some things are important enough to some people that they just find a way to carry it no matter how uncomfortable it may be. There are creative options available to assist with this, such as ankle sheaths, necklace sheaths, and various items that assist with pocket carry (the Holdster from http://www.artofthehide.com being one example, at least for firearms.) It really depends on what exactly you're trying to keep on you and where.

I am not uncomfortable at all....its quite easy for example to carry 3 guns. The correct holsters are a big help.

Today for example for my main weapons ...I will carry a glock 27 strong side in a alessi talon plus,a keltec 32acp in a lightweight nylon custom ankle holster with a extra mag in a side pouch, and a wasp 22lr in my watch pocket.

I think pics of how people really CARRY their EDC would be a very wise thread. I will get some pics of how I EDC my items as I seem to have what some might think an excess of items.:o

I have a difficult time reading pig Latin. I thought maybe it was an insult. Took me a good minute to figure what you were saying out. Started cracking up! By the way, we are on the same page.

thats very correct the right holster makes all the diff in the world, the belt also matters a lot. some folks wanna pack a 1911 or so w/a std 1/2" dress belt, they spend $100 on a holster and use a std belt. it doesnt work well at all, been there/done that.

sometimes i just pack mine in the glove box since its a lot easier, i shouldnt do that though, i know, i just get in a rush.

This thread seems to be dependent on a few key things, which include:

1) a belt
2) deep pockets
3) a good memory ....
.... so you don't leave all that $$$ stuff somewhere by accident!! My goodness, I could never live like that. Is anyone posting in this thread a girl? Because all this talk about holsters and belts and even the pocket thing ... man you would all die if you had to be women ;)

I hope the married men on this thread aren't using their joint accounts to buy all this $$$tuff  .

I guess I should contribute, so my minimal EDC is:

Endura Wave, $60 (?)
Samsung Cellphone, free with provider
Leatherman Squirt P4 / Swiss+Tech Utili-key, CAN$48 = US$40 / $11 with shipping
Burts Bees Chapstick, $2
Contact solution drops, $9
I'll probably get a HAK at some point, so --> $100

Total = $82-111 (+100). Heh. ;)

I think I would make it at work less than 1 day if I did not carry at least 3 guns. The fastest reload is a second piece.

I have used every item I carry at least a few times. Now if I sat behind a starbucks counter makeing coffee, I would be a bit crazy to carry these items but looking for meth cooks/dealers/users.... a guy might just need a weapon here and their.:D
My pics did not even cover it all like my radio,pager,badge/ID,and a few other items.

My small time EDC budget is weak compared to my wifes muscle car habit....I think I should review the joint account.Good point. I do need a new back up and those Rohrbaugh 9mm look like it will be just fine.OH HONEY... I need 1100.00 for a gun.

Well, alwilliam, I think most of us would say that seeing as you're an LEO type that's completely different. I mean it's one thing to carry 3 guns for the job, and something else to carry 3 guns to school/university (LOL that would go over well) :p

Seems like you're in good shape with your wife ... unless you want to start collecting custom katanas ;) .... I was more concerned about the pig-latiners :)
