Time to get FRISKED! Everyone, what is your entire EDC and how much did it cost you?

Actually, women have had the carrying advantage for years. Women carry pocketbooks/purses and can cram all kinds of stuff in them.

I would disagree about the carrying advantage. I mean yes, it helps if you have a little bag for you to tote all your stuff in, but it seems like a lot of people, me included, value the 'speed of the draw', which is why everyone spends a lot of time talking about the various opening mechanisms for knives and carry options for their stuff. Would you really prefer not being able to carry stuff comfortably in your pockets, and stick in all into a (manly) purse?

alwilliam, I believe you misunderstood what I was trying to say in my post. My original point was some people in this thread, myself included, have stated a preference for traveling light, and find it rather incredible that others can carry around so much at one time. However, if the stuff you're carrying is needed on the job, then that puts "a lot" in completely different frame of reference. It's the same thing as you were saying with your Starbucks example, right?

I work in a knife store so i carry alot of knives because when people ask you questions about knives it helps that the knife your recomending them you have on your or have that company on you. I carry three usually from 3 diff companys and my DDR cuz I want to. I really only need one knife and i completley know where you are coming from and it does weigh me down some. However I do like having a PE and a SE on me to do diff jobs as well as a sak in case I need a canopener. I got used to carrying so much but I used to have just a knife and keys on me.

Hahahaha, Thats funny that you mentioned that. I had several friends that worked a local knife store, all of whom carried more than THREE knives on them at once. One gal carried a knife cliped in each pocket, (back pockets, front pockets) and even one on her lepel (a chive I believe).
I guess it's all of dem blades are really tempting :)

How in the heck did you get a P3AT for $125.00!? That's a pretty good deal.

Shooters Paradise in Woodbridge Va (great store). I bought it about a year and a half ago. It was selling for about 175ish, but I did some volunteer work there for a while and I was also a starving college student. They gave me a break :)

Yes it is from the movie Collateral. It's a really good film, unfortunantly it didn't make it big at the box office.
