Vote for one pattern. This thread is designed to narrow down our pattern to our final choice. These pictures are for reference only. No manufacturer is decided as of yet. No shield, scale material, etc have been determined yet. However, the blade choices are as you see in the pictures. Please do not opine such that you will vote for one pattern if it is made by company x, with steel type y, and blade shape z and so forth. We took to heart all the great suggestions, and in the spirit of democracy are moving forward to the next stage with the following pattern choices. If you feel you need to opine as to your desires of the details of the knife, go ahead and do so, but it will not have any bearing on our final choice. The poll makes it easy for us to query the numbers without having to go through and hand tally, or discern a members verbage as to what they want. You all can thank Andy (MQQN) for doing that counting and discrening for our five choices. So, everyone who is planning on purchasing a 2011 knife, please vote in the poll. If you are definitely not going to buy this knife, then please do not vote in the poll. We need the poll count # of votes to be able to estimate the # of knives we can tell the makers we are needing them to produce. We understand that an undesirable pattern may be a deal breaker for some and if a certain knife wins, a voter may not want to purchase. This is fine, but this poll is exclusive to those serious of buying the 2011 knife. Traditional folks are men and women of substance, so we already know that an honor system is good enough for us folksy types.

I voted HJ on the poll. Although what I really want is an EO - HJ(Easy Open with a punch like the picture I posted on the previous thread) but I reckon that was just to much to hope for.

Just want to clarify something before voting Chris. The lg Rem trapper pic, is shown with a description of 3 3/4 inches. Would that be the correct length for that pattern ?

It's a good question and it just depends...mainly on which company we go with. If we went with GEC, then yes, it would probably be 3 3/4. The size would be similar to the R1173 Baby Bullet as opposed to the R1123 full size trapper which comes in at about 4.5 inches. With the other companies, we would have to see what we can do.

I voted for the Harness. Admittedly, I'm all over the place on this however I love the look and feel of a nice harness.

Thanks Campbell.

I voted for the easy open jack, but my finger was pulling real hard towards peanut. All good choices and thanks for giving us this opportunity.

I like both the Harness and the EO!!
I'm in on either one of these 2!!
Thanks for the Hard work guys!

I voted for the EO Jack but I would get one regardless of the pattern. I have a few Peanuts but don't have any examples similar to the other patterns.

EO for me mainly because I cannot recall ever owning one and I am sure this will be a worthy example. Thanks for all the effort guys.

EO jack for me...I think it'll be great for a winter knife when I'm wearing gloves.

Are we voting on handle material and shield pattern? or will that come down to who produces it?

I would like to vote on the easy open as my first option.
Good work guys, I can only imagine the work invloved with this project, but I will accept the knife no matter what the outcome of style-as all are pretty darned decent

Gotta love that EO with that wide blade.
I'll have to order a couple this time around.

i voted for the toenail... would it help sway some of you guys if i bought ya drinks or something? :D
c'mon toenail!
regards
