One more vote for the EO Jack. I wouldn't mind a Peanut either, as it would be nice to have something on the smaller side this year. I plan on getting one no matter what gets picked though. Thanks again guys.

Voted for the EO. I know my comment will carry no weight but I sure hope it doesn't end up being made by Queen. I like their D2 but have no faith they can produce a decent product any more. Crossing my fingers for Northfield. :)

They did a great job last year...the other thread they were contacting other makers anyways, so who knows will end up with this run.

Jackknives
For ordinary whittling a good jackknife is needed.
It should have one heavy blade 2 3/4 or 3 inches long, tempered hard enough for seasoned hickory, but thick enough not to nick or snap off;
also a small, thin blade that will take a keen edge and keep it.
The best pattern is an "easyopener," which has part of the handle cut away so that one can open it without using his thumb-nail, which
may be wet and soft, or brittle from cold.
....

But the HJ would also be good

I voted for the elephant toe but the only one I probably wouldn't get is the peanut as it is just too small for my hands and I like to imagine I would put these in my pocket and use them.

I voted easy-open. I need one less thing in life thats hard to do. :D

Nice Kephart quote, Neeman. We got a knife Nessmuk would like last year; One that meets Kephart's approval would be cool this year. But, I was already sold on the EO before I saw the quote. Although I don't know if Kephart would be pulling for a wharncliff or caplifter secondary like I am!

And apparently Sammy Davis Jr. is in favor of an EO in '11

I voted toenail. I'd likely buy one of whatever is decided.

Originally I wanted a peanut, then the EO swayed me. For some reason I voted for the HJ. I really don't care what I get! I'm in for whatever.

I just fancy EO Jack bit over the harness jack and remington trapper. However, I'll take anything you guys choose. Last time, the bf 2010 was great homerun!

They are all good. I finally voted for the HJ, but the ET in the photo is so lovely, that it almost swayed me to vote for it. - Ed

I'm surprised how lopsided it is. I thought the HJ and the EO would be neck and neck.
Either one is a great choice.

I voted for the Trapper.

Couldn't see going Easy Open Jack without a bail.

The picture of the Schatt & Morgan Harness Jack looked nice but Queen is no longer capable of producing such a nice knife anymore. Yes, I know you said the manufactures of the knives pictured would not necessarily be the manufacture chosen to make the 2011 Forum knife.

You guys are doing a great job. Thanks much. Greatly appreciated.

I opt for the Harness Jack:thumbup: (closest to Teardrop...)

The EO would be alright too.

The others, I'm afraid not.

Another vote for the EO. Thank you for all the hard work guys and regardless of what the final choice is, I'll be getting one.
