if there are any you guys want to see, let me know and I will bring them! Please note, they are not done yet, I am still grinding them!

BFC folks should meet up at 12 noon at Les Robertson's table (main room). That should give everyone a little time to do some buying before everything is sold.

Being on time for this show is really important if you want to find a special piece. Ask for a table map at the entrance and make directly to makers tables you know you want to see. This show has been described as a 'feeding frenzy' and that certainly describes my experiences the last four years.

Can anyone make and provide name tags for folks? See y'all there.

I'll be there. This is my first show since moving to the DC area. I'll see everyone at the Les table at 12:00.

Hello all,
This will be my 4 time at this show and its always a great time. This year I will have my 5 year old son with me (its his first custom knife show) so be sure to say high when you see us.
Boomer

Well, I will be there with bells on...Ranting about my bouncing baby mortgage and how I can't really afford more knives. See you all at the Robertson table at noon!

Barry: Kirby Van De Griek won't be coming this year. I tried to convince him, but to no avail!

OK, heres the gig...

I've got a dinner only restaurant about 5 miles from the show. If anyone knows Balto it is the Orchard Inn on East Joppa road, right off the Loch Raven Blvd exit.

The restaurant, being dinner only, could be good to go for say...brews and ribs... for several hours till about 5:00pm. This would give us time to clean up etc for the first reservation. I hit the show early so I'm hungry in the afternoon!

Love to have ya'll over (the dime would be mine!) what do ya think? G2, Rick, Paracelsus, JPopp, Bob (how'd ya like the disk?), Damon, Fuller, all the Columbia gang and others.

Also, anyone who can convince WD Pease, John Etzler, Ken Steigerwalt, Frank Centofante or JW Smith to come to dinner with them I'll treat to a 4-top Sunday night!

-Michael

I'll be at the show. For people that haven't been there before, let me make a few suggestions:

1. Get there early (i.e., when the doors open)! There is definitely a substantial group of knifenuts that is in line BEFORE the doors open and buy up alot of the good knives.

2. It's mostly custom knives. But there are a few production knife vendors there that have excellent selections and good prices.

3. If you see it and you like it, buy it! Don't expect to come back and get it later at a better price. (See item 1).

Chefget, that's very good of you to provide a place to get together. Unfortunately with other commitments, I will not be able to attend.

Michael,

Very nice of you to offer a place to eat and show off knives. I will be glad to attend and show you a few of the new knives I picked up this year. I hope others will go to make this a fun gathering.

What about it knifenuts?

Cheers,
Damon

Sounds great to me. Michael, thanks so much for the kind and generous offer. I was planning on having dinner with PJ Tomes either Saturday or Sunday night. Your place would be great. Do we need Reservations?

Sunday afternoon for a more informal gathering of knuts sounds good too, but all the makers will be tied up until 6 PM.

I'll be in touch.

I can't wait to meet you guys! I will bring some of the stuff I am working on down to the show. if there are any that you guys want to see in person, let me know! just keep in mind that they are not fully ground or finished yet.

I'll be there, but i'll probably miss all the great deals, since I doubt I'll be able to make it to any pre-opening.

Is everyone still going to meet near Les Robertson's table at noon? I'll be the short, balding guy wearing an old green/black North Face jacket.
