TiSpine LionSteel new knife 2013

I really like the purple/blue/violet handled version of the TiSpine. But until I receive independent confirmation of its purpleness/blueness/violetness, I'm not going to place my order. I know it will be beautiful regardless of the actual hue. But a purple-handled knife is simply out of the question . . . at least it is for me. The handle needs to have more of a blue hue with purple/violet overtones than a purple/violet hue with blue overtones, if you know what I mean.

+1
Standing by for pics . . .

Come on people! Daddy wants...

I'm at UPS right now waiting to pick up my blue baby :). Lets hope it's actually here and I can post pics.

Update - they have my knife. Now I have the go get a money order because they don't take cash or cards for payment of the brokerage fee. What century is this again?

Awesome! That looks pretty blue to me. Thoughts? Gianni did they all turn out that blue? If so Im getting the blue/violet instead. ;) How do you like it bro?

Yep, I'd call that blue with a hint of purple/violet, all right.

Thanks, hondahirny. :)

The blue does appear violet as well. Really depends on the lighting. This is the most "confusing" knife I've ever owned :0)

Do a video! Please? Or send it just to me. (Video) I want to see the color and how it looks and sounds opening and closing. ;)

I feel your pain, brother.
Been waiting for my M2 G10 since the 10th, hope it arrives this week

Thank you so much !

By the way: Is the spyderco sharpmaker the right tool for your knives ?

Me too. A handle that can change colors depending upon its orientation and lighting conditions does deserve a video. But I'd argue that the video should be made by the manufacturer and posted on the manufacturer's website. Either way, I'll wait until the handle color "confusion" is eliminated or more feedback is received before I buy this knife.

The blue looks really nice in the picture, but then again so does the gray. The pictures you guys are posting are making the lack of lefty-friendliness harder to swallow!

We will have a professional video soon.... The best that we can have.

How about an action shot! My blue knife being used to strip Romex on a matching blue outlet box :)

Couple other obervations:
-blade action very smooth. A little too tight from the factory so I loosened the pivot a bit. Also added a couple drops of oil. It's Sebenza smooth now. The Teflon washers work great.
-lockup fairly early. The lock bar is still a bit sticky, but not too bad.
-pretty much "invisible" in my pocket. It's thin and light.
-lockup is very solid and no play. I wouldn't baton on the thing, but no worries about it coming loose or breaking something on the knife. It's a very solid design that would hold up to most EDC tasks (like electrical work!).
