TiSpine LionSteel new knife 2013

I have updated the pictures of the TS1 on the photos page. Moved the pics over to Photobucket, since DropBox was still having problems. You will see that the actual color of the knife is a very shiny gold color. I shifted the lighting around many times to give examples of the subtle changes in color .... but still not what I would call Bronze. I also posted some comparison shots with the Bronze SR1 and with a small Sebenza.

We never say that it is bronze.... The three version are grey gold and purple.

I am thrilled with the gold color! I just think some got the idea it would be a more subdued gold color, closer to bronze. It is really beautiful and what I would call an exquisite gentleman's folder capable of heavy tasks. Size, weight and blade shape are just fantastic. So glad I jumped right in to get one.

I think I made a mistake in picking gold, thinking it would be bronze from the initial pics (totally different actually :() It certainly looks gold rather than bronze and drh's pics shoe the colour if the handle to be nothing like the pics from lionsteel. Bladehq lists them as bronze. Oh dear....shouldve gone for grey. Sigh.

Thank you very much, we have spent a lot of time to develope this item.
Maybe in the future we will make the same color like SR1, mad color.

No ..... there isn't bronze version.

Just got home after driving 6 hours. Found a note on my door. They tried to deliver today. When can I pick up my package? Thursday. WTF UPS!!! They allegedly require 2 business days to leave a package for pickup at the local hub. Oh, I can call Wednesday to try and schedule a same-day pickup. Tried that before and it NEVER works, because the box is always "on the truck" when I call. If you can't get the damn box off the truck with two days notice, how in the heck can I expect it will be magically done same day? I'm glad they picked brown for their color. Represents their services so well.

By the time I get my shipment from the Merde Fleet, i'm sure plenty of other pics will be out there of the knife. I'll just have to live vicariously through BF until I can finally obtain my own. Can you guys comment on how smooth the blade action is, blade centering, lockup, etc? If anyone feels overly generous, do a quickie video and put it on YouTube. Would be sweet to see how it fits in the hand.

Completely happy with my purchase Gianni!!!

Is the grey annodized as well or is it polished titanium?

Gorgeous pics atony! How is it in hand? Opening? Lockup?? Thanks.

Handle wise it is about the same as my Spyderco Southard, shorter blade though. Mine is extremely smooth, think Sebenza. Lock up is as solid as can be, right about 30%. Overal i'm very happy with it the only thing that surprised me was how thin it is. Rides great in the pocket though.

Does it feel anything like Wilson combat's star-tac?It looks like similar milling.

It is alot more smooth, but I see what your talking about. I was thinking it looked like a cross between a Starbenza and a William Henry.

Yes! I want to know if its blue with violet and purple hues or purple and violet with blue hues. I can still change my preorder. Help!!

FWIW, I read somewhere else (can't for the life of me remeber where or else I'd post it) that it's definitely blue with violet hues.

But I'm sure someone will take delivery of their blue one soon and post pics to confirm.

I hope there isn't too much hair splitting regarding the colors. I get wanting a certain look but it's such a gorgeous knife no matter what.

I was a little disappointed at first with the "bronze" being more gold but it's really growing on me. I'm standing by my pre-order decision.

I really like the purple/blue/violet handled version of the TiSpine. But until I receive independent confirmation of its purpleness/blueness/violetness, I'm not going to place my order. I know it will be beautiful regardless of the actual hue. But a purple-handled knife is simply out of the question . . . at least it is for me. The handle needs to have more of a blue hue with purple/violet overtones than a purple/violet hue with blue overtones, if you know what I mean.

Standing by for pics . . .
