Titanium Frame lock WIP and introduction

this sm-100 is very strange indeed , i grinded the blade with 40 grit zirconium belt and than hand rubbed it with 120grit... grind from 40 grit looks like 80grit on normal steel :)

You know Dalibor, of all the great photos you ever posted I can't recall a single one of your grinder set up. Just saying...
 
got the Sirius today! what a Beast of a knife! heavy heavy duty stuff, looks like it can handle Anything!
got a suggestion tho : lockbar could be scalloped a bit to make the disengaging easier, just bcos the thick thick lockbar is so so strong :)

chiatw73, glad you finally got the knife..it took quite a while :)
if you mean that the lock relief than it's good the way it is , disengaging the knife will become easier with use...give it a week and everything will smoothen out! also i heavly oil the blade before shipping it as i don't know the conditions knife will be in...and if you haven't wiped the knife's tang (where blade and lock face meet) from oil the lock will stick.

today i made a jig from a L profile aluminum, it was very hard to find a thick L profile that had perfectly perpendicular sides one to other..
anyway made that work and did lock reliefs on locking sides.

so finished setting detent holes and tomorrow morning i'm sending blades for HT :)
they will be finished the day after most probably.

for now heat treating lockfaces works great.. i might get a carbidizer i'll see.

strider i'm sure you'll be grinding some awesome blades buddy! you just need persistence :) just as you think you'll never get it right you'll make the prefect bevel :D trust me!

today i got blades back from HT, i made titanium stop pins and sanded half of one blade..

so..these are almost done...orange peeled the frames, installed detent , fitted the locks.
just remembered that i completely forgot about clips, well these will be done tomorrow!
