Titanium Handle Folders.

Can't believe no one has mentioned AG Russell Acies which is still available. I also have the Kershaw Volt, Lionsteel SR1, and Camillus Dominator which are all worth mentioning again though all discontinued. The Spyderco Sage is still available though I don't like the cutout for lock access.

Edit: oops, the SR1 is still available though they may still be coming out in batches and a small wait required. It is an awesome knife and a great value compared to other Ti knives in its price range.

For my needs, this is one of the best modern production folders I've encountered: Flawless build quality; solid lockup; perfect centering; very good steel; IKBS; super lightweight and compact, and a good value. It eventually replaced an original small Sebenza in my EDC lineup. I prefer the Eros' ergos, flipper, finer point and overall blade geometry--ideal for picking splinters, opening mail, slicing an apple and the usual urban cutting tasks--and IMO, the thin blade just cuts better.

So this is like a ti handled ripple no? Do they still makes this, I am highly considering this for edc rotation I have heared great things about IKBS pivot system.

They have different handle profiles and blade geometries, but they are similar Onion/IKBS designs. I think the Eros is more comfortable in the hand than the Ripple.

As far as I know, they're still in production. The one shown is the "large" version. The small one is so tiny that it might be difficult for large-handed users to flip comfortably.

CRKT generally receives a fair amount of flack on this board, but I think the quality and design of the Eros is up there with anything anywhere near its price range. If they keep putting out work like this, IMO, they're going to become a major threat to the "big three."

I'm a big fan of the looks of the AG Russell Italian Tac, the price on it for the materials as of right now is only 100, damn good deal.

I was very 'mehh' about mine for years , it just didn't hit it for me. There's nothing wrong with it , it's a smooth opener , very solid , very ergonomic. It has a lowrider pocket clip long before they became vogue , the blade is very nicely ground and a great slicer , it just did not grab me until !!! One night I was lusting over the smaller bladed folders with normal size handles and though to myself... why not ?
A couple hours later my 'new' knife was born ! The blade is just under 3 inches to keep the coppers off my back and most of the recurve is gone , it still cuts and slices great , in a much smaller blade package , plus the added benefit of a full size handle. This knife is so lightwieght I often forget it's there until I need it :D

you are correct , it is a good price and for some reason pretty overlooked. $100 for solid Ti and ATS34 is a good deal.

Instead of just using the already uploaded pic of my Cutters/Brend D/A and Sebenza (which i've enjoyed showing off on other threads), I decided to finally dig out ALL my titanium handled knives, framelock or not.
Here's my pics as promised:

There's my custom converted (don't know who did it) "crystal" titanium Buck 560 auto. not a framelock but she sure is "purdy":p along with a ti handled Bradley balisong.
The Flaherty is a custom with a ti framelock and a brown canvas micarta slab on the pictured side.
The CRKT S-2 is the medium size one. and the last is an A.G. Russell ti framelock folder of his famous Sting dagger with the ACTUAL mid spine dagger grind.

VERY nice collection of Ti-handles... Yes I believe, and I may be incorrect, but I believe the AGR is now called the spear point, and only avail. in FFG not mid spine grind. Still looks liek the FFG version is well made, and only around 99 dollars last I remember.
Huge fan of Buck 110s and man is that a unique auto O_o

thanks, i knew you'd appreciate it.

yeah, i dont see the midspine anymore. if i remember right they were 150 and the ffg was 100 or is it the other way around. and then they offered seconds for only 70.
turns out mine is a second with some bad scratches on the blade along the midspine on one side and it didnt lock up well so i realigned (bent) the liner further and she's operational but a little stiff. a little wide for pocket carry, and the dagger shape (even if only sharp on one side) may atract the wrong attention. i got her for only 40 and figured for an american made ti framelock with a 154cm blade i cant complain, she's a hell of a mean envelope opener.

the 560 is great but i thought it was a double action but its only auto open that unlocks with the original lockback. whoever did it took care of the bad F&F and rough opening mentioned earlier in the originals. the "crystal" flecks really came out in my pic and it looks even sweeter in person.

thanks again, now go buy some more knives;)
