A thread from the dead. A good thread though - I am a fan of Ti handled folding blades.

The Acies from AG Russell, now available in a smaller size - here is my original

They are made by Mike Read. They seem to be popular on the British knife forums. That's about all I could find about these non-locking folders.

you guys resurrected my ti-handle thread, AWESOME lol. I should post up my star-tac crks later lol ^^

I've had the BM nagara on my list for a bit now. Is yours the preferred older model or the newer model with the goofy harley davidson blade markings?

Loving all three of these!

I've been trying to find a speedform forever and finally found one along with a volt! Im looking at that A.G Russel as a backup for my main edc carry, how do you like you'res and is it worth the $300 price tag?

Hi Zookie -

I love my Acies - it is very smooth, and I love the ZDP-189 - great knife!

Mine is the original full-sized version and it was closer to $400. The second version is smaller, has a more matte finish, but still has the same cool blade shape and ZDP-189.

I like titanium too, but I despise bead blasted finishes and it irks me that very expensive knives have brushed finish titanium frames. First, polished titanium is gorgeous. And though it's not as light as aluminum, people like it. Two, it's more expensive; but polishing always takes extra time. When I pay $400+ for a knife with a titanium frame, I don't want it bead blasted. One of my greatest knives is my CRKT S-2 with 4-inch blade. I polished the titanium myself and it's beautiful. It also resists nicks and scrapes better than bead blasted.

The S-2 has an ATS-34 blade, and the only thing that needs changing is the washers, and frankly, I've never had any problems with teflon washers despite what I've heard. But it's better to change them. Even so, I paid $25 each for my S-2s, post paid! I got seven of them, and my only regret is not buying more. But why be greedy?

Wouldn't it be nice if Sebenza frames were polished? But that would
add to the price of the knife.
