Tony Bose Tribal Spear~New from Case!

Charlie, nothing on these pages seems to be more impressive than a mint, old ebony folder, while bone improves in both color and smoothness when handled with oily mitts.
Queen the ebony and use the bone.

Got it this morning at the PO on the way to work. Not much light to check it out ;). What I did see (yep, I opened it up) was worth it!

I came across an issue of Blade several months old on my magazine rack, and noticed an ad for the Tribal Spear. It stated that a collector in the Caribbean posted a pic of a custom Bose, presumably a backpocket, that had a Tribal Spear wharnecliffe style blade, that "set the discussion boards on fire", or some such. Anyway, do we have a pic of this knife?

Check the bose thread and you will see how it started. It happened right here.

Thanks Gus.

Anyone carrying their Tribal Spear in a pocket sheath? I am thinking of using my Sebenza pocket slip sheath for the moment, but want something a little nicer. Does Case make one for their slipjoints?

By "pocket sheath", you mean "girly knife purse", right? :D

No, I am not carrying my Tribal Spear in one of those. Yes, Case does make those available through some of their retailers, but I don't know if the Tribal Spear fits. The ones I have seen are more for medium stockman-sized knives. I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to find one that would work, or have one made.

I like jackknife's hankerchief idea, but want something a little more, eh, well, yeah, maybe girly might be the right word :foot:.

My "girly knife purse" of choice for the Tribal Spear that I just got is the sheath for my Fällkniven DC4 combination stone. It's a little larger than need be, but hey it cost me $00.00 extra and about 10 seconds of my time to come up with that solution. Girly as it may be, it does help keep the knife upright in the pocket. :D

Even though this is a Case production knife, it still has the T.Bose stamp on it, so, I therefore feel it is my moral obligation to inform ya'll that you might be treading on suedo-legal thin ice by carrying said Tribal knife in a girly knife purse without the appropriate waiver on your person. I'm refering to BK-Form-100a

:p ;)

See! I knew that was coming. If you're gonna carry a Bose knife, even a collaboration, in a pouch, you'd better do so *quietly*. :D

That's right, Andy. You see, at BoseKnives/WilfredWorks, we are a full service organization looking out for YOU, the knife afficianado, and we wish no harm come to anyone because of unknowingly carrying a POCKET KNIFE in such devices that might cause undo embarrassment or otherwise harm to the emotional psyche. :D

The Word is greater than the Law, and more Binding.

Got mine back from Case and she's now perfectly centered. They had it less than a week!
Carried it around all day yesterday and I'm loving this knife.

You don't need "The Waiver" if you carry a purse, paint your fingernails and wear high heels. But do you really want to do that ? Even with "The Waiver" we're still gonna tell everybody.
Greg

I'm about ready to pull the trigger one of these before they are difficult to find. I plan on carrying mine in my pocket with all the other junk in there. I plan on using this knife for pretty much everything on a daily basis.
