I seen it!! He kept telling me to be careful with it,, it was forged in a fire, and folded, made to last forever.. Possibly made in the 30's, survived WW2, and I guess he though since I don't handle high end knives much,, that I would drop it on the carpet and bust it,, I felt bad for holding it so long!!

the Aberlour double wood matured.. is good,, but has more Sherry Character than Oak.. making it a little out of the Highland norm.. but, very good for the price!!

Just what I was going to ask! Grapping perfect! I love maulk like that. Cheap...single malt...and slightly out-of-the-ordinary for a Highland. Looks like Aberlour Doublewood is going on my short list. Maybe I'll go shopping up in the cities tomorrow.
