No its not touching the carpet and yes its nice............Yes i do all the work making sheaths and he gets all the fame.....sometimes they come out pretty nice,im glad you got a good one........and no you cant beat on my 1000 year old Japanese Navy Admirals sword,WHAT ARE YOU THINKING......?
