The first time I have seen a Sfilato posted since I posted mine years ago, Will Power Will Power ! Nice knife!!
This one came from the Schrade Collection, and I believe it was made by Felix Mirando who founded Imperial Knife Company!!

And yes, the handles are horn!!

waynorth waynorth Thank you Charlie, and thanks for the interesting info&background. It's a nice shaped pattern and around 4"/10cm. Mine's only a modern type all stainless liners etc but it's good quality and the horn is very decent. I have a brass bolstered version with a bail but prefer the Shadow.

Regards, Will

Here's a tail lock/tab lock with some kind of horn made by someone named Post. I've had it for years and it's a well made knife, if a little odd looking, IMO.
He might have been trying to copy the Ron Lake tail lock folder.

Heck ya!! Now I’m officially jealous. ;)
I’ve wanted a Lake taillock since i was 11. Met Mr. Lake this past year and had a great time. Just recently I have commissioned a maker to make me one. And in horn as well!
Beautiful knife. I like it.

Thanks! I just added a Ron Lake - Paul Chen/CAS Iberia Interframe Tail Lock collaboration to my accumulation. It's posted in the carrying thread. It must have been a treat to meet a legendary knife maker like Ron Lake!
Can't wait to see what you get! Make sure and share it with us!
