Top 3 Production Folders

Okay, I'll list only ones that I own, or have owned.

1 MT LCC D/A, or Manual (EDC Rotation)
2 BM 730 CFHS (EDC Rotation)
3 Camillus Dominator (EDC Rotation)

Honourable mentions:
Camillus Cuda Maxx 5.5 (used to own)
Al Mar SERE 2000 (used to own)

Now, I do have to mention my MT Scarab, and small Sebenza, because, I think by combining the cost of the other 3 knives, everyone should get one of either.

DD

Number 1: Al Mar SERE 2000. Anything else is less. Brutally strong, superb VG10 steel, top ergonomics. If cast adrift on a desert island, this is the one I'd want in my pocket.

Equal second:

Benchmade 710. Mine's the HSSR (semi-serrated, M2 steel). Elegant, purposeful, secure.

Spyderco Military in S30V. Debatably the best knife steel available, big yet light, punches far above its weight.

Took the words right out of my mouth! geegee

BM AFCK, best SD knife for the money,(I prefer the older liner locks)

Spyderco, Police, or Military

BM 730 Ares,(love the Axis Lock)

1. LCC M/A tactical ltd. edition for perfect outlook green canvas micarta + deep, green 3 spacers. And bulky and heavy construction forces to think it won't fail anywhere.

2. Amphibian Automatic - the powerful spring and highest quality makes good impression

3. Mini Socom Elite Auto for good quality and nice, ultralight design.

no, I am NOT a microholic, I do NOT need help....no...

Spyder Endura

CRKT m-16 series

CS Voyager series

I picked these three as they probably have sold more of these since their arrival on the scene of knives available.

Not as the three best.

1. Spyderco Military - I own two; the CPM440V version and the newly released S30V version. (The S30V version blows the old one away.) Excellent knife that is light, fast and a great cutter. Excellent fit and finish and the S30 version is easy to sharpen and takes an AMAZING edge.

2. Spyderco Endura - I have two of these as well. Fairly inexpensive knife that will do just about anything you could want from a knife. VG-10 is a good steel and the fit and finish is good for the price. Good value.

3. Victorinox SAK - Cheap. Good cutters w/ lots of useful tools. A breeze to sharpen. Good enough knife for most people. The QC has always seemed to be great; especially considering the large number
of knives they make each year.

Benchmade 94x
Benchmade 710HS
Benchmade 806D2

I bet you guys couldn't tell that I am a Benchmade fan.:D

My picks for the top three are...

Camillus Maxx Bowie
Kershaw Boa
Spyderco Native III

--Bob Q

Camillus Cuda Maxx

SOG Night Vision

Spyderco Dodo, ATR, Chinook

Microtech LCC, Amphibian

Kershaw Mini Task, Boa

More than 5, but I like these all a lot.

Hmm, always considered myself an original thinker but my tastes are as Vanilla as the median here. Guess we know what we're talking about.

In this order;

1. Microtech Socom
2. Spyderco Starmate
3. AFCK old round hole liner lock, (just a preference)
4. Buck Strider large spear point. (can't leave it out)

Yall got taste.

In that price range, I would pick Benchmade 720, Benchmade 710 and Camillus Cuda Maxx. Not sure what the MRSP of the Buck/Mayo is, but if it were inside the designated price range, the Buck/Mayo would make the list, too.

Yeah, there are some great production folders for under $200 clams. But why limit yourself. Save a little more and get...

A Chris Reeve- SEBENZA!

Me thinks Sal Glesser is grinning his ass off if he's reading this.

Anyway my top three:

Spyderco SS Endura
Victorinox Delux Tinker
CRKT Crawford/Kasper
