Okay, after spending a little more time on topomart's website (I'll need a bleach shower now), I've come across a bit of illegal activity.

They are advertising that some knives have an "Axis" Lock. That is a Benchmade Trade Mark. Further, you don't need to click any deeper on the website than than going to the home page to see this illegal activity. On a computer, simply go there, hover your mouse over the "lock type" tab, and you will see "Axis Lock". They have no rights to use that term. There is a reason why all the legit manufacturers have come up with their own name for the axis lock.

That means that every single link that takes you to their homepage represent a supporting dealer here stealing the trade marked name from a pillar manufacturexr in the knife industry, Benchmade. No clicking or scrolling required. Right there on the front page.

I translate commercial brochures for Chinese construction equipment brands : the gibberish is not as bad, but not that different.

When you say "translate" you mean turning Mandarin into English?

They don't give a [expletive deleted] about the language because the price will bend the customers around anyway. And they are generally right. Not for knives, yet. But wait....

All legality aside, I really don't know the audience that these knives will appeal to.

[When you say "translate" you mean turning Mandarin into English?] Alas, no. I have to translate the gibberish English (they produced from Mandarin, I can only suppose) to French or German.
[All legality aside, I really don't know the audience that these knives will appeal to] I don't mean this as a jab to you but honestly, you have no idea. On this site, despite a strict policy (don't know about elsewhere) a "clone/fake/copy/rip off" fight has been going on for years. On one side those who hold for the "real thing" (I'm giving you the short version) and on the other side many, and constantly more, nitwits who will use the most convoluted arguments to justify buying the fakest crap around just because it's cheap. Don't get me wrong, everybody buys what he wants and if they are happy with it, fine ! But don't come here and lecture experienced and knowledgeable knife users about "my 12 $ Drooling Dragon cuts just as good as your 100 $ (insert legit brand) knife". So, yes, there is an audience and I suspect it is huge.

The knife is super, everything corresponds to the description, in the hand lies like a glove, the flip is clear,

"Topomart Review" by EngrSorenson

There once was a knife sold by topomart
They said the knife was super from the start
The hand lies like a glove 'n
Go put your head in the oven
'Cause your tricks aren't very oh-so-smart.

Now I don't want to cause any friction
Because I have my suspicion
They broke all our laws
Yet despite all their flaws
Everything corresponds to the description

They're knives? they were a clone
That nobody wanted to own
The flip might have been clear
But you can kiss my rear
I'd rather make love to a stone

But there could be so many more by Mike Hunt and Harry Dick... I should be a counselor for Topofthesharts !

Forget Topomart, I am holding out for Master Cutlery. At least with them we can get an early release of most of the 2022 Cold (Sold) Steel line.
