Tops Knives: Show ‘em if you have ‘em

Nice mods to your sheath! I like it.
Thank you.
Actually the credit goes to folks here on the forum that pointed me in the right direction.

Leather belt loops for kydex sheath on the "sheaths and such" forum.

Ouch. 😮
My last knife cut was a folder that snapped shut quicker than I was ready for.
I work with sheet metal everyday. So there's always a cut somewhere. Even with gloves.

Yeah, that cut was through-&-through.

I was drunk one night (*I know..."Shocking!") and drew the Pasayten from the sheath with my week hand.

The cut went about halfway through my strong-hand index finger. I immediately went to "spreading" it and packing it with cotton. When I "opened"/spread it, I could see the bone. Man, I've seen a bit in my life, and ain't necessarily skittish, but almost passed-out when I saw the bone of my own finger.

It probably needed a stitch (*or ten), but I just nursed it for a few weeks.

That Pasayten ain't no joke...thin blade/flat grind and all.

I'm a fan of the old Woodcraft knife.
Living here in Michigan I had to grab one of these.

Pictures don't do this knife justice.
I really like how Tops did the handle.
The handle on the original Woodcraft was far too small.

And the cerakote on the blade looks awesome.

The sheath is very good quality as typical of Tops knives, tho the design could be better.

I'm in for a remake of the Marbles Ideal knife.
Thanks Tops.

Love that top picture with the JD!

You are 1 toxic masculine son of a gun! I've really enjoyed this thread. I'll definitely try to take a few more pictures this summer when I get back up working in Idaho a couple three months from now.

Your post made me chuckle a bit. 😂

Like you, I too have enjoyed this thread. 👍

Here's my pocket/belt dump from yesterday...

When it comes to the "Big Knives vs. Axes" thing, I'm DEFINITELY in the "big knife" camp. What can I say?...I have a healthy fear of axes.

"Fear" is one thing. "Terror" is a whole other bag of tricks.

The TOPS "High Impact" (*for me) definitely falls into the "terror" category. 380-thousandths (*and almost four pounds) of TOPS 1075, it falls in that weird zone between a "sportsman's axe" and a full size "failing axe". That's a shitload of "Git 'er Done!" in my humble opinion...

*I know, I know. This isn't the axe sub-forum. It's still a TOPS though, right?
